The Prevalence of Head Lice (Pediculus Humanus Capitis) and Its Associated Risk Factors in Bonab County During 2013-2014 Vol. 6 No. 1 Depiction of Health 2015 The Prevalence of Head Lice (Pediculus humanus capitis) and its Associated Risk Factors in Bonab County During 2013-2014 Hakimeh Kabiri*1, Saeed Dastgiri2, Mahasti Alizadeh3 Abstract Background and objectives: Pediculosis (head lice), is one of the parasitic diseases that has spread worldwide. Head lice are common in communities such as schools, garrisons, and campuses and dormitories but in schools, especially in primary schools are considerably high. This infection causes health and psychological problems and social impacts that can lead to educational fall. Thus, this study was conducted to determine the prevalence of head lice and its influencing factors in the feminine primary schools of Bonab county of East Azerbaijan province during 2014-2015. Material and Methods: This cross-sectional study was performed on 3757 primary schools students by a multi-stage random sampling. The data were collected from the questionnaire and physical examination of hair. Statistical Analysis was done by the Chi-square test. Results: 106 of 3757 students were infected by pediculosis. This study indicated that 2/82 % of students in primary schools have been infected with head lice. Prevalence of pediculosis showed a significant correlation between variables factors such as the bathroom, use of personal belongings, parent education, personal hygiene and father’s occupation (P<0.05). However, the relationship between the prevalence of pediculosis and grade of student was not significant. Conclusion: This study indicated that the awareness of parents and personal hygiene of students reduce the risk of head lice infection in Bonab primary schools. The results obtained for the population model indicate that this city, due to having positive and high elasticity in attracting the population of the region, has a significant effect on balancing and distributing population equally in East Azerbaijan Province.

Methods: The study used collected data from the Systematic registration within East Azerbaijan province from 2010 to 2011. We analysed some characteristics of the cases of suicide based on the health system database. Variables such as demographics, outcomes (fatal/nonfatal), and methods used were recorded. Data was analysed using Chi-square and T-test. Results: A total of 3,768 reported cases of suicide were analysed. More cases were reported from married people. The incidence rate of suicide was 101.3 per 100,000. Most of the attempted suicides were observed in younger people. The number of attempted suicides was higher in women (63.7%) than in men (36.3%).

The goal of this research is to evaluate and compare the performance of adaptive network-based fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) and Wavelet-ANFIS models based on FCM for simulation/prediction of monthly GWL in the Maragheh plain in northwestern Iran. A 22-year dataset (1996–2018) including hydrological parameters such as monthly precipitation (P) and GWL from 25 observation wells was used as models input data. To improve the prediction accuracy of hybrid Wavelet-ANFIS model, different mother wavelets and different numbers of clusters and decomposition levels were investigated. The new hybrid model with Sym4-mother wavelet, two clusters and a decomposition level equal to 3 showed the best performance.
