Jaboatão sets priorities for 2018-2021PPA’S Date of publication: June 21st, 2017

The City of Jaboatão dos Guararapes began discussions on strategic planning for the next four years. The 2018-2021 Multiannual Plan will define the priorities and legacy that will be left by the current management. During the Planning Jaboatão Seminar, held on Tuesday, Mayor Anderson Ferreira gathered the secretariat and established the main axes of his administration. To this end, four programs have been defined that will receive special attention: Juntos Pela Educação (United for Education), Juntos Pela Saúde (United for Health), Juntos Pela Ordem Pública (United for Public Order) and Juntos Pelo Social (United for Social Purposes).

“The main results of our work will be seen in the four programs that form the basis of our administration. We have to set a plan to be executed that represents our commitment to change. We have to think about Jaboatão as a whole, but reminding ourselves that each regional has its specific needs. That's why we want to hear from the population and add suggestions to the final project.” said Mayor Anderson Ferreira. The mayor highlighted the need to increase the city's revenue and seek resources that are available, mainly from the Federal Government. “Our challenge is to identify priorities and understand how to apply the resources to make bold management. We don't want planning that stays on paper. We are starting a project to be put into practice. Our management's vision is focused on caring for people and families, in transforming Jaboatão into a great sustainable, attractive, and also a city that has opportunities. You can do this with competence, clarity, tax balancing and creativity.” emphasized Anderson. Jaboatão is divided into seven regionals with distinct social and economic characteristics. Because of this, a popular consultation will be held in each regional during this PPA preparation period. The dates will be informed so that the members can submit their claims, which will be selected and added to the final text. The 2018-2021 Multiannual Plan project will be sent to the Council of Jaboatão City by October 5 to be voted in plenary. The same deadline applies to the Annual Budget Law (LOA). Also, the project of the Budgetary Guidelines Law should be submitted to the Legislature by August 1st.

The district network reached, in the initial years, the index of 5.1, and in the final years, obtained 4.3.
