EXECUTIVE SUMMATY MALLIKAMUNDA O.S. SHOP SUBARNAPUR DISTRICT ODISHA • Excise Department Govt of Odisha has granted/renewed the Mallikamunda O.S. Shop (with branches at Narayanpur and Pratapur) for producing country liquor with Still Deck Capacity of 1620 Ltrs. Valid upto 31.03.2018. • The license is granted in favour of Mr. Sarjan Sahu of Gajbandh village, Rampur PS in Subarnapur district of Odisha • The Mallikamunda OS shop installed village Mallikamunda in Sonepur Tehsil of Subarnapur district. • The Mallikamunda O.S. shop install in a leased out land over Ac. 1.000 Dec area • The Location of the project approached from Khambeswarpali (on Bolangir – Sonepur National Highway) situated at 2 kms from the project site. • The project is situated adjacent to the Road joining Khambeswarapali to Mallikamunda. • The project area is bounded by Latitude: 20049’.532 N to 20049’.543 N and Longitude: 83046’.164E to 83046’.170E and Featuded in SOI Toposheet No. 64P/13. • Sonepur situated at a distance of 20 kms from the project site • The nearest National highway Bolangir-Khordha (NH 224) at a distance of 2 kms • The nearest railway station at Lohisingha at a distance of 30 kms • Nearest water body is River Suktel 2.5 km in South direction . • Arjunpur Reserved Forest 5.0 km in North-East Direction • No wildlife or archeological sensitive area exist within 10 kms of project site. • The nearest education and health facility available at Mallikamunda distance of 0.5 kms. • The production capacity of the O.S. shop is 1020 liters per day • Employment Potential of the plant is 10 nos • The raw material of the project is Mahua flower, Water and Rice Husk • The per day requirement of raw material are Mahua flower is 1000 Kg , Water 4.0 KL and 500 kg of rice husk. • The Mahua flower and rice husk procured from local market and water sourced from ground through borewell. • Deck capacity is 1620 ltrs • The process is Mahua flowers are putting in drums filled with water four days before it goes into brewing. After the bubbles are seen on the top of the drum, that drum of flowers is feet for further processing in the furnace and transferred to the brewing copper pot on the bottom. The brewing chamber has a hearth/furnace with one pot. The bucket placed near the furnace is connected to the brew which is situated in the middle of the chamber pot with a pipe. The process often takes three hours. The vapors cooled by cooling water tank and become liquid form. The liquid collected and packed as country liquor. • A chimney of 6 meter height installed in the furnace to control the air pollution • The total quantity of 4 KL of water required for the plant sourced from borewell inside the plant premises. • From the process 0.3 TDP of Mahua flower Residue and 0.005 TPD of husk ash generated as solid waste. Also 1.0 KLD of waste water generated from the unit per day from cooling process. • The waste water stored in settling tank for reuse in the plant • The solid waste mahua flower residue used for organic manure and the husk ash for brick making. • The green belt over 0.33 dec has developed in the area • The project cost is Rs. 15,00,000.00 .
