Oakfield Court, Axes Lane, Salfords, Surrey, RH1 5QL Oakfield Court, Axes Lane, Salfords, Surrey, RH1 5QL Oakfield Court, Axes Lane, Salfords, Surrey, RH1 5QL Distinctive attached Wing with distinguished 3 bedroom/3 bathroom accommodation on 3 floors, parking, courtyard and additional garden area. Conservatory Reception Area Drawing Room Kitchen Cloakroom Master Bedroom 1 + Ensuite Guest Bedroom 2 + Ensuite Bedroom 3 + Ensuite Gas Central Heating Courtyard + Additional Garden Area Parking Asking Price £599,950 DESCRIPTION Character and style - semi-rural location. This wonderful attached Wing on 3 storeys, converted a few years ago by Village Developments, offers traditional style and many original features, combined with a modern elegance and contemporary appointments. The accommodation is arranged on 3 floors, and the ground floor in particular provides a highly unusual entrance way through the Conservatory Reception Area (with steps leading down to a small courtyard). Ceiling heights on the ground floor are especially dominating, with cornice work and timber sash windows emphasising the architectural style of the period, and the present owners in residence have added to the appeal of these features by installing full height shutters in traditional fashion. There is a system of gas fired central heating to radiators. In addition to the courtyard there is a garden area, offset to the west of Oakfield itself, a short walk around the corner, and with timber garden shed and ornate gazebo, this offers an ideal place for summer dining and entertainment. LOCATION Situated in a splendid semi-rural location and close to open fields and rolling Surrey countryside, but still within easy reach of amenities. Salfords station provides excellent rail links via Redhill to London (Victoria and the City – approximately 35 minutes) and London Gatwick Airport lies to the south west. Salfords provides a range of local shops, but the larger centres of Horley and Redhill are a short drive away and provide a wider range of amenities. There is also a wide range of schools in the area too. Reigate offers a good range of individual shops, restaurants, cafes and bars. Schools for all ages are well represented in the area, including The Parish School, Reigate Priory, Reigate School and Reigate Sixth Form College, as well as other private schools including Micklefield, St Marys, Reigate Grammar School and Dunottar School. The M25 orbital route is easily accessible at Reigate Hill (Junction 8) and this links with many other major motorway networks. ROUTE TO VIEW From Junction 6 on the M25 take the A25 west in the direction of Redhill, passing through Bletchingley and over the motorway bridge. Take the left turning at the crossroads in Nutfield and continue for about 3 miles. Just after the public house on the left take the right turning, crossing the motorway, and continuing for about 1.5 miles where Oakfield will be seen on the right hand side. Please contact the Planning Policy Team: [email protected] 01737 276178 Foreword “This Development Management Plan (DMP) will take forward the vision of our adopted Core Strategy, to make Reigate & Banstead one of the most desirable and attractive places to live, work in and visit. “Alongside the Core Strategy, the detailed policies and proposals in the DMP will guide planning applications across the borough, helping to ensure that we deliver the right development, in the right places and at the right time. “The wide ranging policies in the DMP will enable us to continue protecting and enhancing the things that make Reigate & Banstead a great place: our characterful towns and villages, our beautiful countryside and open spaces, and our healthy economy. “They will also support us in our ambitions to provide high quality homes that are affordable to local people, and which meet their needs whatever their stage of life. In addition, these policies will help us to ensure that our residents and businesses continue to have access to the services, facilities and infrastructure which they rely upon day to day. “We recognise that development can bring pressures and challenges. The policies in the DMP will mean that we are well placed to manage these so that that the impacts of growth on our residents, businesses and environment are minimised, but also that opportunities and benefits are maximised.
