The Commission first adopted rules requiring broadcast stations to maintain public files documenting requests for political advertising time more than 80 years ago,1 and political file obligations have been embodied in section 315(e) of the Act since 2002.2 Section 315(e)(1) requires radio station licensees, among other regulatees, to maintain and make available for public inspection information about each request for the purchase of broadcast time that is made: (a) by or on behalf of a legally qualified candidate for public office,3 or (b) by an issue advertiser whose advertisement communicates a message relating to a political matter of national importance.4 Section 315(e)(3) of the Act requires stations to upload information about such requests to their online political files “as soon as possible.”5 Section 73.1943(a) of the Commission’s Rules requires stations to maintain and make available for public inspection information about all requests for broadcast time made by or on behalf of candidates for public office,6 and section 73.1943(c) requires stations to upload such information to their online political files 1 See 3 Fed. -

January 2005 Citation: KVRI Burbot Committee. 2005. Kootenai River/Kootenay Lake Conservation Strategy. Prepared by the Kootenai Tribe of Idaho with assistance from S. P. Cramer and Associates. 77 pp. plus appendices. Conservation strategies delineate reasonable actions that are believed necessary to protect, rehabilitate, and maintain species and populations that have been recognized as imperiled, but not federally listed as threatened or endangered under the US Endangered Species Act. This Strategy resulted from cooperative efforts of U.S. and Canadian Federal, Provincial, and State agencies, Native American Tribes, First Nations, local Elected Officials, Congressional and Governor’s staff, and other important resource stakeholders, including members of the Kootenai Valley Resource Initiative. This Conservation Strategy does not necessarily represent the views or the official positions or approval of all individuals or agencies involved with its formulation. This Conservation Strategy is subject to modification as dictated by new findings, changes in species status, and the completion of conservation tasks. 2 ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS The Kootenai Tribe of Idaho would like to thank the Kootenai Valley Resource Initiative (KVRI) and the KVRI Burbot Committee for their contributions to this Burbot Conservation Strategy. Plan for Notifying Employees Not to Report to Work
PLAN FOR NOTIFYING EMPLOYEES NOT TO REPORT TO WORK The Hanford Administrative Committee, in accordance with Article XIII, Section 4., has determined that the following plan will be implemented by the EMPLOYER for the purpose of notifying employees covered by the Hanford Site Stabilization Agreement not to report to work. The EMPLOYER will cause an announcement to be made over local radio stations broadcasting within the Tri-Cities and Yakima areas at least two hours prior to the employees’ regular starting time advising that construction operations are closed and that the EMPLOYERS’ employees should not report to work. A general announcement will be considered to apply to all employees of the EMPLOYER, and to all activities of the EMPLOYER, except for those employees and/or activities which are specifically identified as not be affected by the announcement. Further, employees will recognize and adhere to a similar announcement issued by the OWNER, the U.S. Department of Energy, and will assume that such general announcements addressing the Hanford site and/or Hanford employees will include employees of the EMPLOYERS. The announcement will apply only to the shift immediately following the time of the announcement unless the announcement gives instructions to the contrary. Public Hearing in Calgary, Alberta 20 September 2010 Various Class 1 terrestrial broadcasting distribution undertakings in western Canada – Licence renewals and amendments The Commission renews the licensees’ broadcasting licences for their Class 1 terrestrial broadcasting distribution undertakings serving various locations in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba from 1 December 2010 to 31 August 2015. These short-term renewals will permit the Commission to review at an earlier date the licensees’ compliance with the Broadcasting Distribution Regulations and their conditions of licence. Additional considerations of the hearing Panel on alternative ways of dealing with non-compliance are attached. Introduction 1. The Commission received applications by Shaw Cablesystems Limited (Shaw) and Videon Cablesystems Inc.
