FOREWARD The first place, if you want Scripture, the people are supposed to come to the house of God for one purpose, that is, to worship, to sing songs, and to worship God. That’s the way God expects it. QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS, January 3, 1954, paragraph 111. There’s something about those old-fashioned songs, the old-time hymns. I’d rather have them than all these new worldly songs put in, that is in Christian churches. HEBREWS, CHAPTER SIX, September 8, 1957, paragraph 449. I tell you, I really like singing. DOOR TO THE HEART, November 25, 1959. Oh, my! Don’t you feel good? Think, friends, this is Pentecost, worship. This is Pentecost. Let’s clap our hands and sing it. -

SILENT PROTEST: A CATHOLIC JUSTICE DISSENTS IN BUCK V. BELL PHILLIP THOMPSON* I believe that the wholesale social regeneration which so many now seem to expect, if it can be helped by conscious, co- ordinated human effort, cannot be affected appreciably by tinkering with the institution of property, but only by taking in hand life and trying to build a race. That would be my starting point for an ideal for the law.' The educated man.., whose conduct is not guided by religion or morality, is a danger to the State and his fellowmen.2 3 I. OVERVIEW OF BUCK V. 'Dolly Celebrates 25 Years of Dollywood' Talent Bios
‘DOLLY CELEBRATES 25 YEARS OF DOLLYWOOD’ TALENT BIOS DOLLY PARTON - "I've always been a writer. My songs are the door to every dream I've ever had and every success I've ever achieved," says Dolly Parton of her incredible career, which has spanned nearly five decades and is showing no signs of slowing down. An internationally renowned superstar, the iconic and irrepressible Parton has contributed countless treasures to the world of music entertainment, penning classic songs such as "Jolene," "Coat of Many Colors," and her mega-hit "I Will Always Love You." With 1977's crossover hit "Here You Come Again," she successfully erased the line between country and pop music without noticeably altering either her music or her image. "I'm not leaving country," she said at the time, "I'm just taking it with me." Making her film debut in the 1980 hit comedy “9 to 5,” Parton earned rave reviews for her performance and an Oscar nomination for writing the title tune, along with her second and third Grammy Awards. Roles in “Steel Magnolias,” “Best Little Whorehouse in Texas,” “Rhinestone,” and “Straight Talk” followed, along with two network television series, made for television movies, network and HBO specials, and guest-starring roles in series television. In 2006, Parton earned her second Oscar nomination for "Travelin' Thru," which she wrote for the film “Transamerica.” Dolly Parton's remarkable life began very humbly. Born January 19, 1946 on a farm in Sevier County, Tennessee, Parton is the fourth of twelve children. Her parents, Robert Lee and Avie Lee Parton struggled to make ends meet in the impoverished East Tennessee hills. -

Summer Song Part 7 – Psalm 150 Pastor Ted Cunningham
Summer Song Part 7 – Psalm 150 Pastor Ted Cunningham We are finishing our Summer Song series today in Psalm 150. You are going to see we had Matt do that because all those instruments are in Psalm 150 except the harmonica; I don’t think that’s in Psalm 150. But Matt proved once again how hard you have to work to make a living in Branson. You have to play a lot of instruments. I was going to do that, but then I didn’t. Is he a talented guy or what? He makes this stuff up in his head. The mind of Matt Gumm… Very few of us ever want to go there, but he goes there a lot and comes up with that stuff, so we’re very blessed to have Matt. Today we are going to be talking about Psalm 150. You have no idea how bad I wanted to preach this morning on Daniel and the lion’s den, but I held myself back. This service is a little bit more liberal. Okay. The first service thought that was hilarious. I’ve got a lot of lion jokes, but I’m going to wait a few weeks. I’m going to stand up for the zebra. That’s what I’ve decided to do. Lions have been taking out zebras for years and now we’re all worried about the lion. I have to stop and be done with it. We are at Psalm 150. Have you ever had anyone say “Praise the Lord!” to you? That’s one of my mom’s favorite expressions. -
