JUSTICE CREW ‘’Rise & Fall’’

Australia's urban-pop phenomenon Justice Crew smashed records this year with their stirring hit Que Sera. Now they're switching things up again with Rise & Fall.

The six members – Lukas "Wildrok" Bellesini, Paul "Paulie" Merciadez, Samson Smith, Solo Tohi, and twin brothers Len and John Ruela Pearce – siphon the epic romance of '90s R&B into their most highly-anticipated single yet. The powerful melody and mid-tempo vibe of Rise & Fall is perfectly complemented by its poetically deep lyrics: "I could see your voice, but I could never hear it/Through the static noise around me/But I can't give up, so I keep on swimming/Through the ocean till you find me."

"Rise & Fall is definitely a new sound for us, but I think it's a really good direction that we're heading in," says John. "We're really excited to see what people think!"

Justice Crew unleashed Que Sera (derived from the Spanish for "Whatever will be, will be") earlier this year. The heroic song not only celebrates the posse's camaraderie and longevity, but also those universal ideals of resilience, positivity and magnanimity.

After teaming with Canadian hit-makers The Messengers (, , Iggy Azalea, Justin Bieber) in Los Angeles earlier this year, ‘Que Sera’, presenting a different sound for the Crew showcasing their artistic maturity. It went on to achieve four-times Platinum sales after breaking records as the longest-running number one ever on the ARIA Singles Chart, spending an astonishing nine weeks at the top. "That song did break records in Australia – and it's put us on a different platform, 'cause now we're part of history in the music scene," adds Paulie. "It's opened doors for us to do different types of music." Que Sera will epitomise 2014's popular culture for generations.

Rise & Fall, was masterminded by Daniel Omelio aka RoboPop (Cher Lloyd, , Lana Del Ray, Keith Urban) alongside Emily Laura Katter, Sam Nicolosi and DNA Songs. A second departure from party banger pop, it is a "love" song, but a symbolically undetermined one – like Que Sera, everyone can relate to it. Justice Crew originated as a multicultural collective of “b-boys” or dancers in . They soon realised hip-hop's DIY philosophy of "dreaming big", developing sensationally into all-round entertainers – dancers, vocalists and songwriters.

Since breaking out in 2010, Justice Crew have enjoyed a series of hit singles including 2012's ‘Boom Boom’, their first number one ARIA single now certified six-time platinum. They won a fan in Pitbull, who scooped them up for his RCA-affiliated label. Along the way, Justice Crew have supported , and, in North America, Pitbull and Kesha as well as their own expansive Australian headlining #HYPETOUR earlier this year.

Rise & Fall is another taste of what is ahead for Justice Crew's long-anticipated debut album – which, Solo reveals, "rises and falls" with slo' jams and dance numbers.” Meanwhile, these social media faves are generating heat globally with Que Sera. The sextet recently returned from a US promo jaunt. Next they'll be charming (and disarming) the Brits with their fresh high street vibes and altruism. Says John with typical understatement, "The hype is slowly building!"
