BASE181 STUDIOS The low down The word [Base] is defined as... the foundation or starting point for something. We aspire to teach the foundations of dance instilling growth, confidence and empowering our students with knowledge. Base181 Studios offers classes for fun and fitness and for those aspiring professionals wishing to gain industry opportunities! Base181 studios motto is "EACH ONE, TEACH ONE" encouraging students to gain leadership and mentor skills within a safe environment. Your Mentors Samson Smith is a member of Australian pop group Justice crew, who became winners of the fourth season of Australia's Got Talent. Justice crew has reached global success having toured the world with artist such as Pitbull, One direction, Janet Jackson & Chris Brown. Known for their dance moves, Justice crew are even making their mark in Australian music, holding the longest running #1 single in ARIA chart history since 1983. Chantal Curmi has extensive experience in the commercial dance industry, television and music videos. Dancing for celebrities such as Ricky Martin, Kylie Minogue, Spice Girls ( Geri Halliwell) Havana Brown, Delta Goodrem, Ricki Lee Coulter, Jessica Mauboy ,Dami M, The Madden brothers and Beyonce's "Mine" film clip with Drake. Chantal has worked on Australian and international screens on "The Voice Aus, Australia's Got Talent, X Factor, Rebel Sports, Neutrogena and Reebok" Chantal has travelled across Asia gracing stages in Singapore, Macau and Hong Kong. Samson and Chantal established Base181 Studios to create opportunities for young, aspiring creatives in a safe, fun and passionate environment. EACH ONE. TEACH ONE. Sneakers that are comfortable to dance in. NO school shoes! TECHNICAL STYLE'S Uniform for our technical styles which include Jazz, Lyrical, Acrobatics , Stretch, strength & conditioning classes. Base181 T-shirt or singlet Base181 shorts or tights - Girls STRICTLY No Booty shorts! No Shoes required for acrobatics & lyrical. Sneaker's for Jazz & Stretch, strength & conditioning. Education As we believe dance has been passed forward from generations we believe in educating our students on the fundamentals to preserving dance culture, showing appreciation to those who have come before us and inspired us. Commitment Teachers and staff are committed to the growth of our students. We nurture all dance abilities ensuring our students start their dance journey with a strong foundation of dance. BASE181 STUDIOS STUDIO POLICIES & PROCEDURES STUDIO RULES Parents, students, sibling & friends are not permitted inside the dance BASE RULES studio unless accompanied by Base181 staff. Students and their parents are liable for any damages caused to BASE RULES studio property. By entering the premises, parents &/or guardians accept that risks may occur in attending or participating in the events or activities held in the BASE RULES venue. Base181 Studios does not accept any responsibility due to the attendance or participation in an event or activity or the actions or negligence of others present. It is the responsibility of the parent to ensure that Base181 staff are aware of any special health considerations, allergies, injuries or learning conditions BASE RULES that may interfere with students participation in classes. In the case the student has an emergency plan, this must be given to base181 staff prior to the commencement of the very first class as well as any other appropriate documentation. The student will be unable to participate until this is done. In the event of a medical emergency, and where a parent cannot be contacted, the guardian authorises Base181 studios to seek medical BASE RULES advice for the child. Unless invited by the teacher to watch class, parents &/or friends are not permitted. We ask you to respect this and take it seriously. BASE RULES Recording from mobile/ multimedia devices or any photography is strictly prohibited. Parents are advised that some physical contact may be necessary by a BASE RULES teacher to demonstrate exercises or techniques, or if a staff member needs to administer first aid. Students may be photographed or filmed by Base181 studios for BASE RULES social media, promotion of the school and productions. Parental permission is assumed unless otherwise advised. BASE181 STUDIOS STUDIO POLICIES & PROCEDURES PICK UP & DROP OFFS Students are to be collected immediately after class. Should you be BASE RULES running late, call/text 0456 561 794 before the end of that class. BASE RULES Students are prohibited to leave the studio unaccompanied at any time. Parents picking up & dropping off kids are only to park in Base181 allocated parking. If no parking is available directly outside the BASE RULES studio, you are required to find street parking. Under no circumstance is any Base181 parent to park in unallocated parking. Please respect our neighbours. It is the responsibility of the parent / guardian to supervise their child before BASE RULES the first class and after the last class., Teacher supervision extends only to students in class. Base181 Studios encourages parents to find appropriate parking and BASE RULES pick up child from in the studio. Parents who collect their child from the car park or the street do so at their own risk. Students should arrive to class no earlier than 10 minutes before class BASE RULES commences. If you do so, it is the parents / guardians responsibility until the commencement of first class. TEACHER COMMUNICATION It is not in agreement with Base181 policy for teachers to become BASE RULES connected with Base181 parents & students via social media. Teachers are duty bound to deny any request of this nature. Those parents wanting to contact a teacher must initially contact BASE RULES Samson, Chantal or enquire at reception. BASE181 STUDIOS FEES STRUCTURE & POLICIES All new students receive one free 45 minute trial class. All classes BASE RULES following initial trial will be invoiced at single class rates. Annual enrolment & membership fees are payable after first class BASE RULES of the term. All our classes are a termly commitment. Once enrolled into a class for the BASE RULES term, fees are payable for the whole term. All fees must be paid in full prior to the start of week 1 of each term. A late levy will be charged at an additional $10 fee per week, if not paid in BASE RULES full within the first week of the new term. This fee will then be added weekly until full payments are received. In the event of outstanding fees, a written warning will be issued. If the outstanding funds are not rectified within the amended time BASE RULES frame, the student may be prevented from further tuition and events at Base181 studios until rectified. Please communicate with us in these situations. It is assumed that the students enrolment and classes will remain the same each term. Should you wish to change any lessons written confirmation via EMAIL is only accepted. Text messages and verbal BASE RULES confirmation will be disregarded. 4 weeks notice before the start of term is required for withdrawal. Withdrawals after this time are permitted however full term fees must still be paid. No Refunds will not issued for class enrolments, workshop, costumes and BASE RULES Base181 events at any time. You will have the option of transferring to another class, provided there is availability and has been organised by base181 staff . Fees can be paid with cash, direct debit, online bank transfer, eftpos and BASE RULES credit card. We do not accept AMEX.
