Stage Entertainment appoints Walter Drenth Managing Director for the Netherlands

Amsterdam, 11 March 2021. Stage Entertainment announces that it has appointed Walter Drenth as Managing Director for the Netherlands effective 6 April 2021. Walter Drenth will succeed Albert Verlinde, who headed the Dutch branch of the entertainment company until December 2020.

Walter will be responsible for the Dutch organisation, all Dutch productions such as TINA - The Tina Turner Musical, and the company’s commercial activities in the Netherlands. His responsibilities also include the AFAS Circustheater in Scheveningen and the Beatrix Theater in Utrecht. He will report directly to Arthur de Bok, CEO of Stage Entertainment.

In his new position, Walter will focus primarily on the further positioning of Stage Entertainment. Under his leadership the organisation will focus on the continuation of strong programming, new creative developments, broadening and strengthening the relationship with the target groups and the continued strengthening of the organisation.

Walter comes to Stage Entertainment from Heineken NV, where most recently he was Senior Global Director responsible for the global brand portfolio (including Amstel, Sol, Desperados and Tiger). Prior to that, he held various operational and management positions for Heineken in Ireland and Nigeria, including overseeing the brand positioning and strategy for the international Heineken® brand. Prior to his career at Heineken, Walter worked at companies that included advertising agency FHV/BBDO and Unilever.
