1 EUROPEAN MASTERS INDOOR RECORDS 2016 compiled by Ivar Söderlind, EMA Record Statistician 310117 I have worked with the European Records from July 1988. Since June 2000, when I and the Swedish webmaster Åke Runnman started the EVAA Web Site, I have also compiled and reported the European Veteran Records on EVAA/EMA Web Site. In 2012 we started the Data Base of the European Records/Best Performances in EVAA Website. I really believe that the Data Base and the EMA Record Group with me, Giusy Lacava from Italy and Fernando Marquina from Spain is a step in the right direction in pace with times. I will also continue to publish my Record lists with my comments on the Web Site and send out my printable record lists to my contact friends, all with the aim to have the record list more complete. Please check the list given below and help us in the Record Group to make it more complete. In 2016 up to December 31 we registered 47 European Records (25 World Records). We have three more results (a) which shall be ratified as European Records when/if all record forms/documents are received and ratified by EMA. In 2015 we registered 50 European Records (32 World Records), in 2014 we registered 77 European Indoor Records (50 World Records and in 2013 40 European Indoor Record (20 World Records). In the European Master Championships, Indoors in Ancona March 29 to April 4 2016 we noted 25 European Indoor Records and 13 of these records also were World Records. This is more records compared to EMC Indoors in Torun, POL March 23-28 2015 when we noted 20 European Indoor Records (14 World Records. The high-performance level in Ancona 2016 further is confirmed of the fact that it was no less than 218 Championships Records. Remember when you report new Pentathlon Records to include the results for all the five events and not only the points (see in the new EMA application). From January 2014, we also have new age factors for scoring of some Combined Events. All records which are affected by the new age factors for Pentathlon Indors are updated. Observe that for Weight Throw it always must be Weight Throw indoors, not outdoors in an Indoor Championship!! When two or more results are noted in one age group and event the first noted result is the official record. Only results with all tasks reported (Birth Date, Date and Place for the Competition) are approved as official records. Only electronically timing is accepted for all distances in the Record List. For distances from 200m and more the track round must be 220yards (201.168m) or shorter. New records must be reported by EMA:s Record Application! Take copies of the application from the EMA Web Site and also send the Result Card or a copy of the official Result List to us, preferable by mail as an attachment. If the European Record also is a World Record, I will inform the WMA Records Chairperson, for their approval. A copy of “photo finish” and “zero control test” are required for events with Fully Automatic Timing. “Zero control test” means that the Record Application must be accompanied by an electronic photo of the gun shot that shows that the clock starts just when you see the mouth of the flame, ie, one must above all prove that the clock does not start later, which would provide for a better time. Results from European Masters Championships – EMA (Stadia/Non-Stadia/Indoors) and results from WMA Championships are not necessary to report to EMA. We in the Record Working Team also have control over the results from international competitions sanctioned by IAAF or EAA and figuring in the IAAF and EAA Calendars. If IAAF and EAA accept results that are made in accordance with their regulations, we need no further checks. # = the track round is more than 220 yards (201.168m) (no official record). * = new     1 EUROPEAN VETERAN OUTDOORS RECORDS 2011 compiled by Ivar Söderlind, statistician of EVAA (20.10.2011) In 2011, up to October 20, I have registered 43 new or modified European Records and 25 also are World Records. In the European Masters Games (EMG) in Italy September 10-20 I found 5 European Records and all 5 also are World Records. In the WMA Championship Outdoors in Sacramento, USA July 5-17 I have noted 6 European Records and 3 of these records are World Records. And in the European Veteran Athletic Championship Indoors (EVACI) in Gent, BEL March 16-20 2011 I found 3 World Records outdoors: in discus W75, Weight Throw M80 and Hammer W80. In 2010 I changed in the Record Lists because of new equipments, weights, hurdles distances etc. from May 1 2010. WMA´s decided changes in the rules for veterans were then implemented. In K70+ and M80+, 300m hurdles have been replaced by 200 m hurdles (hurdle height 68.6 cm). In the European Record Lists we will present both old records (in 300m hurdles) and the new records (in 200m hurdles). In K75+ the weight in Shot Put and Hammer dropped from 3.0 kg to 2.0 kg and in weight throw it dropped from 5.45 to 4.0 kg. The old records in these throw events will be left up until it is better results with the new weights. In M60-M65, we have (since 2009) new hurdles distance of 60m hurdles indoor and 100m hurdles outdoor (12.00 meters from the start to the first hurdle and 16.00 meters from the last hurdles to the goal.) Observe that IAAF:s rules concerning the winds in Multievent competitions was changed in the congress at the World Championships in Berlin 2009 and the 4.0 m/s limit is not valid anymore! The only rule is the average of 2.0 m/s taken over all wind measured events.

In 2012 we started the Data Base of the European Records in EVAA Website. I really believe that the Data Base and the EMA Record Team with me, Giusy Lacava from Italy and Miroslaw Luniewski from Poland is a step in the right direction in pace with times. I will as all my previous years as Record Statistician, continue to report on the new EMA Web Site and also send out my printable record lists with my notes to my contact friends some times a year, all with the aim to have the record list more complete. Please check the list given below and help us in the Record Group. In 2015 up to November 3 we have registered 44 European Records (31 World Records). We also have two more results (a) which shall be ratified as European Record when/if all record forms/documents are received and ratified by EMA. Valladolid, 81, 1º - 28008 Madrid – Tel. 915487863 - Fax:915476113 / 915480638 Nota de Prensa - 016/2003 - Madrid, 13 de Febrero de 2003 Marcha de lujo en Ourense CTO DE ESPAÑA DE MARCHA -Ourense, 15 de febrero de 2003- La marcha atlética, la especialidad más laureada del atletismo español con ni más ni menos que 70 medallas internacionales logradas a lo largo de la historia, celebra el próximo domingo día 16 de febrero en Ourense el Campeonato de España de Marcha de Gran Fondo en carretera, que en categoría masculina alcanza la 72ª edición, la 18ª en categoría femenina, la 15ª edición juvenil de hombres y 13ª juvenil de mujeres y el 19º Campeonato de España de Federaciones Autonómicas en categoría junior y 8º en la categoría cadete. En definitiva y resumiendo, un auténtico festival de marcha, que tendrá por sede un maravilloso circuito perfectamente asfaltado y plano que transcurre a lo largo del río Miño a su paso por Ourense. Es la tercera vez en la historia que Ourense acoge la gran cita española de la marcha atlética, pues en ese mismo circuito se disputaron las ediciones de 1994 y de 1998, con sendas victorias de Valentín Massana y Santi Pérez en hombres y de Encarna Granados y María Vasco en mujeres, respectivamente. Precisamente el actual Récord de España de 50 km en poder del gran Valentín Massana con 3h.38.43 fue realizado en 1994 en este mismo escenario.
