Murray is one of eight men since the tournament was established in 1890 to win four titles. With an Olympic gold medal in 2012 and a Wimbledon championship in 2013, the World No. 2 is second only to Roger Federer among active singles players in winning six grass-court titles. Raonic, on the other hand, is making his debut in a grass-court final after reaching his first 17 ATP World Tour finals on hard courts. His best result on grass entering the 2016 Aegon Championships was a run to the 2014 Wimbledon semi-finals. Unbroken in 47 service games this week, the ninth-ranked Raonic won a rematch of the 2014 Wimbledon quarter-finals against Nick Kyrgios and also defeated 2011 Wimbledon quarter-finalist Bernard Tomic. After Raonic won three of his first four matches against Murray, the Brit has rebounded with four straight victories in their FedEx ATP Head 2 Head rivalry.
