Jeremiah 29:11 27 SUBJECT: 6-1 March 30, 2009 EARTH MONTH COMMUNITY CLEAN-UP EVENTS (Revised) During Earth Month (April), there are two community environmental events that TCDSB school participation is encouraged. • The City of Toronto’s 20-Minute Makeover on Friday April 24th (All grades) • The City Park Clean-up, April 14th to May 1st 2009. 20 Minute Makeover (All grades) TCDSB has displayed a phenomenal participation rate and demonstrated our Board’s commitment to our community and the environment. In response to Mayor David Miller’s formal invitation, the Board encourages all schools and administrative sites to participate in the 20-Minute Makeover. If your school would like to participate, please go to the following link to enrol; http://intranet/vgk/20minutemakeover.registration.asp. We will only provide two bags per school and one box of latex gloves for the first 100 schools that register before March 27, 2009. The City provides the bags for special pick up at the curb. We are to bring the bags back to our school and place them in the appropriate containers. This is to reduce the carbon footprint of trucks being used to college this garbage.
