Aviation Week Network and Tarsus F&E LCC Middle East hosted the two-day international exhibition which combines MRO Middle East with Aircraft Interiors Middle East (AIME) at the Dubai World Trade Center, UAE on February 11-12, 2019. The exhibition attracted more than 5,000 industry professionals from the commercial aftermarket, and featured more than 330 exhibitors displaying the latest products, services and technology. With demand in the Middle East growing at such a fast pace, the exhibition provided the perfect platform for both established and new-to-market organizations to capitalize on the huge opportunities available in the region. Highlights from the show floor: • Lufthansa Technik received an approval from the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for maintenance services on aircraft registered in the country • Magnetic MRO and First Premium for Support Services (FPSS) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for joint EASA-compliant MRO operations in Saudi Arabia and the region. They also announced the launch of its new engine stands hub in Dubai in cooperation with an Emirati aviation company, Chabok Aviation • Joramco signed a long-term agreement with Boeing Distribution Services for hardware and chemical products • Boeing has agreed to provide landing gear services to Uzbekistan Airways through its Boeing Landing Gear Exchange program • Etihad Airways Engineering signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Tarmac Aerosave to jointly pursue opportunities to develop, explore, support and extend Part 145 maintenance services and products • Satair signed an agreement with Honeywell Aerospace to distribute its JetWave high-speed inflight connectivity system to a wide segment of the global business jet market • OEMServices signed an exclusive repair distribution agreement with Triumph Integrated Systems Actuation & Control to service its customers in the Middle East and Africa Aircraft Interiors Middle East and MRO have a well-deserved reputation as the place “where airline buyers and suppliers meet and interact.
