248235 the October Club TEXT 2019.Indd 2019 Dinner in aid of WednesdayWednesday 99 OctoberOctober 20192019 TheThe Savoy,Savoy, LondonLondon Redburn is proud to support The October Club & Spinal Injuries Association redburn.com BUCKINGHAM PALACE I have been Patron of the Spinal Injuries Association since 1984. During the past 35 years, I have seen the charity develop and expand in response to the needs of spinal cord injured people and their families. As a result, more people are receiving the support and care they need to lead IXO¿OOHGOLYHVDIWHULQMXU\RUGLDJQRVLV However, two thirds of newly injured people do not receive the vital specialist care they need and are therefore at risk of serious and life-threatening health complications. To respond to this situation, the Spinal Injuries Association has established its innovative Nurse Specialist project. With your help, the charity will extend this successful pilot and build the evidence base that will drive lasting change to policy and practice. The project you are supporting this evening will transform care for spinal cord injured people. The impact will be life changing, even life saving, for many thousands of people. Together we can ensure that all spinal cord injured people have the opportunity to reach their full potential. Thank you for your support and I hope you have an enjoyable evening. 2020 BRITISH GRAND PRIX – SATURDAY 01/08/2020 Pierre Gasly (AT01-04, Car 10) Third Practice Session - Best lap: 1:27.046, pos. 10th, 20 laps Qualifying - Best lap: (Q1) 1:26.343, (Q2) 1:26.501, pos. 11th “I’m happy with my Qualifying today! We had the pace for Q3 again and matching the lap time of Racing Point, which is at the moment one of the top cars on the grid, is really positive and it means we did a pretty good job on our side. Starting the race from P11 tomorrow gives us a free tyre choice and I think we have the chance for a good result in the race. We made progress since the start of the weekend so hopefully, we can finish within the top 10 tomorrow and bring home some points.” Daniil Kvyat (AT01-03, Car 26) Third Practice Session - Best lap: 1:27.076, pos. 11th, 18 laps Qualifying - Best lap: (Q1) 1:26.774, (Q2) 1: 26.744, pos. 14th (He will start from P19 due to a 5-place grid penalty, Doc 20) “My lap was really good and I’m quite satisfied with it. We changed a few things and I felt more comfortable in the car today, I had more confidence going through certain corners, which felt great, and the only place where I was losing a bit of time compared to Pierre was the straight line. I’m starting five positions further back due to my penalty, so I know it won’t be easy tomorrow, but I generally feel strong during the race.

2020 BRITISH GRAND PRIX – SUNDAY 01/08/2020 Pierre Gasly (AT01-04, Car 10) Race: Pos. 7th “It’s really fantastic for us to finish P7 today! It was a very strong race and probably one of the best ones from me. We didn’t expect such a result today, we knew we could potentially score points, but it was going to be a challenge as the timing of the first safety car didn’t play into our hands. I think we were P12 at the time and I had to fight my way through the crowd. It was tough but very enjoyable and I had many great battles with Vettel, Stroll and Giovinazzi. I struggled to get close to Sebastian, but then I had one shot to pass him and I knew I had to try and make it work. It doesn’t happen every day that you're able to overtake a Ferrari on the outside, so I really enjoyed that one! I’m feeling good in the car and we know where we need to improve, so hopefully we can take another step forward in the coming weeks.” Daniil Kvyat (AT-01-03, Car 26) Race: retired “I think it was a very strong race despite the fact it was cut short. I had a good start, great pace and made quite a few overtakes, catching up to the cars in front. We were on for a good result today when all of a sudden at Turn 10 I lost the rear of the car. I thought it was my fault, as at first I always tend to blame myself, but after reviewing the video we saw that something happened out of my control, so we will need to check all the data to understand what exactly caused the failure.

Nouse Web Archives Album Review: Disclosure – Settle Page 1 of 3 News Comment MUSE. Politics Business Science Sport Roses Freshers Muse › Music › News Features Reviews Playlists Album Review: Disclosure – Settle Disclosure have produced a club album that you can actually listen to sober again and again. Alex Donaldson reviews Tuesday 18 June 2013 Label: PMR Records Release: 3rd June, 2013 The Lawrence brothers have pretty much defined the dance scene of 2013, their brand of brit-house has become a constant breathe of 90s air in the otherwise stagnant charts. Debut album Settle might well achieve what Daft Punk failed to do earlier this month. Singles ‘White Noise’ and ‘You and Me’ may be chart toppers but they’re only the tip of the houseberg. Their ‘Intro’ begs the question “How do you get in the zone?” Well to be frank you just shove the next song on, ‘When A Fire Starts to Burn’, features a gripping spoken sample, and the best drop of the album. As an opener it serves to set the heart pumping and the bar MD-high. Thankfully – unless you have a heart condition – the trend continues throughout. It’s an entirely vocal led album, with one of the brothers featuring on infectious handclapping ‘F For U’. The smooth vocals mirroring a liquidy bass, any club that doesn’t have this on the playlist within the week isn’t worth going to. Guy and Howard’s production is first rate and crucially, they avoid being sucked into the American volume war. ‘Simulation’ with its looping female vocals and steel drum breaks is straight out http://nouse.co.uk/2013/06/18/album-review-disclosure-settle Archived 11 Dec 2018 06:00:56 Nouse Web Archives Album Review: Disclosure – Settle Page 2 of 3 of the 90s whilst ‘Confess to Me’ feat.
