This visitor satisfaction 12-month barometer gives some highlights of visit.brussels online satisfaction survey visit.brussels/qualitydestination, which is part of the Quality Scheme for Brussels tourism. The survey is completed on a voluntary basis. Face-to-face interviews are also performed once in a while in touristic areas of Brussels, at random. Therefore, the survey does not at all pretend to be “scientific” or to be a true reflection of what all visitors think or feel about our destination. Nevertheless, we consider it is a useful tool for our future visitors, Brussels tourism professionals and public authorities.

Les parkings intra muros sont hors de prix. L'expérience est donc un peu galère et nous irons forcément moins souvent à Bruxelles que nous le désirerions. La météo était très pluvieuse.

4288 15/10/2017 09/10/2017 - - I was eating Chinese dinner with a friend in a sidewalk café Asian Wok Noodle Bar on Thursday. I had my bag hanging on my chair while eating dinner. 8:45 or 8:50 pm: I sent a text. And put my phone in my bag. Just then some guy whizzed past us offering to sell flowers. Both my friend and I said no. In hindsight this might have been the distraction. Don’t know. At 9 pm when I looked to pay the bill my bag was gone. Lost all my passports cash credit cards key documents and several personal belongings. Since I had my iPhone and Ipad in my bag I was desperately trying to reach the police to help me log on to my applied and use the find my iPhone feature. To my surprise not only did the police station have internet the police officer lady in charge yelled at me. She appeared angry and upset that I could not speak French. It was strange because I shd be the one feeling upset! They would not help me with anything. I finally had to ask a fellow American who was making a complaint to send my personal information through his phone so his friend with an iPhone could find out. But a precious hour had passed and by then all my devices were offline. On top of that one officer informed me that I could not get the police report only a claim form for insurance! I spent the whole night agonizing as a female alone in Brussels. Then returned to the police station. And finally found a nice officer Ben (the only officer who helped me) who assisted in filling out details and giving me a copy of the report but only in French (which I am not very good at). A terrible experience with the Brussels police station behind the Grand Place!!! I got the service I wanted only in my home country's Embassy! Not sure if there is any hope of ever seeing any of my belongings again! Nor do I have any interest in recommending Brussels to my friends or family! SUch a shame since I thought it was a beautiful city until that night!!

J'ai déjeuné au Marmiton qui m'a très vite réconcilier avec la politesse et un excellent service. Par contre souhaitant revenir faire des photos de street-art je dois constater que le parcours proposé n'est pas en ligne sur internet. Voyage reporté quand je pourrai avoir ce parcours.

4282 07/10/2017 13/09/2017 > 60 United States We were exhausted when we arrived so we slept. _ When we woke we went for a stroll in the neighborhood and chose an Italian restaurant a few blocks away called Il Sorriso that Pieter recommended. We adored it. It's a one-aisle restaurant with a genuine wood-fired pizza oven where the dough is set to rise and both the atmosphere and the service are warm. The pizza was scrumptious and we were the only patrons.

Nachmittags Anfang... und viele Bahnhöfe sind nicht besonders dort) auch Grand Place hat uns sehr gut gefallen sauber und teilweise heruntergekommen. vorallem bei Nacht! Außerdem dachten wir dass wir den Event Pass (mit der Brüsselcard) schon vom Airport bekommen aber wir mussten erst eine Fahrkarte für 17€ pro Person kaufen vom Airport bis in die Stadt und konnten dann da den Event Pass bekommen... das war den Informationen so nicht zu entnehmen. Ganz schlecht ist die App von STIB-MIVB! Man kann keine Routen damit planen.

I saw 2 hop on hop off buses but they were off duty I guess as there were no passengers in them and they just drove by. It was only 5 p.m. I think it is too early to end tourist buses at that time. I had to walk to the city centre then and it was raining a little.

Trêve de plaisanterie la ville offre un climat de convivialité toujours très agréable à vivre et la disponibilité des gens professionnels ou résidents est tellement spontanée que l'on se sent facilement "chez soi". Je reviendrai aussi souvent que je pourrai le faire car chaque retour se fait avec un peu d'amertume estompée par le souvenir d'une ville offrant tant d'intérêts divers et contrastés. He got back to but didn t solution the issue. now I am stuck with an extra ticket that worth 36 euros. and I have no use for it. I can understand that middle north Europe has different time tables but is very difficult to plan visits when almost all museums close at 17:00. If you want to visit 3 museums in a day is impossible and this makes that 48h Brussels card (I bought it) can be used all what I want. Also if I get a museum at 16:30 ... why is not possible to go into?. I know that museum closes at 17:00 so it will be my problem if I have only 30 minutes to visit. The same for restaurants. I was surprised when I see several restaurants that close at 22 or 22:30. As I said before it will be usual in Brussels but I think is necessary to make more effort.

Was very disappointed to tourist visiting spots. see no pictures of Irish events on the wall of history but there was a lot of UK events. The museum would learn a lot from the music instrument and its use of technology - user friendly hand sets. While we enjoyed our trip to the Atonium - in the brochure there is reference to a children's area on Platform 6 - it was closed off. Our daughter was disappointed.

Visiter la _ grand place bruncher au parc d'Egmont, goûter des plats typiques au T' kelderke, Bruxelles-les-bains et son beach volley et son open air gratuit et super thématique (Japon cette année!), les activités dans les parcs comme Easy Swing au Cinquantenaire où l'on peut être initié au Lindy Hop et super moment avec la famille à la guinguette du parc de Forest (beach volley frisbee château gonflable pour les enfants ...) et super ambiance un peu partout où je suis allée.

After 20 minutes I have left the train I acknowleged that my suitcase is lost. I immediately ran to the station staff. An old man sitting in the staff room in centre of the station adviced to "go upstairs and try to solve my problems there". The personell upstairs said I should go to the Brussels-south where all lost things are collected. A man sitting in lost and found office at Brussrls-south said he has no idea about my suitcase. The police station was closed so I had to come back to Brussels-centre. Eventually I found the police station in the centre but after waiting in the queue for 1 5 hours they said I should go to the embassy to verify my personality!!! Only after that I can apply for the lost things. In my country If I would forget anything in the train all the trains would be immediately checked instantly after I would ask for help the station staff. In Brussels no one is interested to help you.

Dommage qu'au musée d'Ixelles il se repérer n'est pas facile à comprendre et à repérer. n'y ait pas de cafétéria ou au moins de distributeurs Pour la carte stib nous n'avons pas trop compris de boissons. Nous avons beaucoup utilisés le métro- pourquoi il fallait valider de nouveau cette carte en tram-bus on se fait vite à l'organisation et la carte entrant dans le wagon du tram alors qu'on la passe stib avec la brussel card est très pratique. déjà en rentrant dans le métro/tram. Pour la brussel card nous avons été un peu géné de l'utilisation sur 72 h consécutifs sans pouvoir fractionner ces 3 jours comme nous le voulions.

This happened in the daytime 11.30 am. My wristwatch a special present from my son when I retired and expensive was stolen. My wife and I are 70 and 71 years old and were very traumatised by this I was glad I managed to stay on my feet as he tried to get me down on the ground as I think it would have been very serious if he had managed to overpower me. This ruined our visit and our remaining days we went to Liege Brugge and Antwerp as we got such a scare.

La Brussel card nous semble peu intéressante vu le temps qu'il a fait les réductions senior et le nombre de musée à visiter. Le Hop on hop off est absolument inadmissible : les horaires sont très réduits les fréquences faibles les stops mal indiqués : il est pratiquement impossible de trouver certains arrêts si on ne les a pas repérés avant. Il faut partir par le 1er bus pour réussir un "on off" dans les temps impartis. Nous avons été prévenus que l'un des circuits était supprimé le dimanche par une feuille sur les arrêts affichée le samedi et le dimanche. Nous avons été une dizaine de personne à attendre le dimanche après midi en vain pour le 2ème circuit. Le lendemain lundi nous avons eu le plaisir de trouver une affichette nous indiquant que les 2 lignes étaient supprimées le dimanche. Minable.

I was awed by the us during our very short visit. beauty of the historic center the Grand Place with its beautiful gold buildings. The square/plaza was so elegant so beautiful and I felt sorry that we lack time to explore more. There were lots of quaint shops restaurants chocolate shops and the sweet scent of waffles and frittes is in the air :-) Since we lack time we rode the hop on hop off tour bus and we saw many exciting places and monuments. My daughter was so excited when she saw the biggest ATOM :-). And next time hopefully we'd like to eat at that gallery/street full of restaurants calling the attention of people with their "come in good food" invitation. We'd like to try their mussels. seems delicious. Before heading back to Amsterdam by train we treated ourselves with big cones of Belgian ice cream and waffles <3 And oh I had a big headache that day and went to the pharmacy to buy medicine...The pharmacist was so helpful and kind to advice me what medicine and how to take it to relieve me of my headache. Kudos to the tour info center too. They provided us with a city map and gave clear instructions on how to reach the historic center by foot. We hope to go back to Brussels and see more of this beautiful city...and more!

With only one exception they spoke in Flemish to me and my limited French was only a source of blatant amusement for them. My persistence resulted in my admittance but initially I was directed to a closed part of the museum. One kind member of Staff did eventually direct me properly but there is no clear guide/plan available and parts of the collection are closed. The signage next to exhibits is not very good for those with limited French and no Flemish and whilst the museum was nearly empty on a Saturday the attitude of Staff certainly contributed to a poor visit. The signage of rooms/facilities is poor. It is a tired and lacklustre museum which was a real disappointment. Generally Staff at all venues I visited did not offer the audio guides as a matter of course which would have helped and would also have earned them money and in some I didn't even realise that one was available.

August 10th (my little brother's birthday). Our Dutch mother took myself and my two siblings on a three- week road trip through Normandy Belgium and Holland mostly along narrow winding country lanes. (There weren't many motorways then!) To make matters even more exciting she decided to transport both ourselves and the car via airoplane from Dublin to Le Havre. I believe we may have arrived in Brussels on the Saturday evening because I remember that we went to Sunday Mass in Brussels in a beautiful cathedral close to Grande Place and spent several hours afterwards admiring the gilded architecture and visiting monuments such as Manniken Pis. My experience of Brussels was one of the highlights in my life. I was fifteen years old and vowed that I would return to some day to have a better look. Somehow that opportunity has never presented itself even though I backpacked solo around the world in 2010 (skipping most of Europe) when I was in my early 60s. Oh yes I must absolutely MUST reexperience Brussels before I get too old to walk around - and certainly before all that mighty gilding loses its allure!

I accidentally grabbed my wife's BrusselsCard after she visited the Magritte Museum. I was told that her card could not be used again as she had already visited. I realize that I could be misconstrued as someone who had found a card and wanted to get in for free however despite being able to provide proof of identity I also had my 8 month old son who was also with my wife when she visited. Regardless I am sure even if I had found a Brussels card (unlikely) the fact that it cannot be used again on the same day does not make sense (when many other rival European cities do allow such re-entry).

Le programme des visites était très intéressant mais c'est surtout la qualité exceptionnelle des guides qui nous ont accompagnés dans chaque visite qui nous a séduits comme à chaque biennale. Nous connaissions déjà beaucoup de lieux mais à chaque visite le guide choisi par le Banad nous a appris à encore mieux apprécier ce patrimoine exceptionnel. Ils nous ont aussi enchantés dans les lieux moins spectaculaires. Bravo pour ces visites mais il faut absolument revoir le système électronique de réservations : un cauchemar (un must = pouvoir choisir la langue de la visite en fonction de l'horaire et ne pas être cantonné dans une seule langue). Aussi le nouveau nom de Banad est incompréhensible et non attractif. Osez Art Nouveau/Art Déco car à force de vouloir chasser le français on tombe dans le banal globish que plus personne ne comprend.

Zelfs in een kerk werd de deur open gedaan door een zwerver waardoor mensen buiten bleven staan. Het geeft een heel onveilig gevoel. Ook de mensen die hard nekkig proberen je een restaurant in te krijgen versterken dit gevoel. Vraag aub aan andere grote steden hoe ze in het verleden deze problemen hebben aangepakt. Het is een prachtige stad maar we zijn snel weer verder gereisd en zeker niet van plan nogmaals langs te komen als dit probleem niet in opgelost. We willen ook niet mee dingen met de prijs maar hopen dat jullie deze mooie stad weer leefbaar maken.

C'est inadmissible si vous développez un programme pareil avec la Stib assurez vous que la Stib contrôle le tram au moins le matin tôt afin qu'il n'y ait pas ce genre de surprise. Elle est difficile à trouver mais lorsque l'on trouve les bons endroits (par exemple le TTO le théâtre de toon ou les myriades de petits café- théâtres) ou les marchés / activités dans les quartiers. Tout est uniquement en anglais sans traduction. Donc si l'on vient d'Europe ou d'Afrique c'est très difficile de se repérer et cela donne une première impression très négative. Vous devriez faire installer des panneaux d'explications touristiques au moins traduits en français allemand espagnol pour les touristes européens C'est vraiment dommage que lorsque l'on arrive dans la capitale de l'Europe on ait le sentiment que rien ne soit fait pour les citoyens européens. L'Europe est également absente de l'identité de la ville alors que lorsque l'on va à Strasbourg ou Luxembourg il y a des banderoles dans la ville qui indiquent dans toutes les langues européennes "bienvenu en Europe". Une autre chose qui m'a profondément étonné et choqué c'est le manque de diversité dans l'affichage et principalement l'affichage culturel. Alors que lorsque l'on se promène dans les rues de Bruxelles on voit des gens du monde entier et l'on entend toutes les langues lorsque l'on voit les affiches et les musées c'est uniquement en anglais. Pourtant je croyais que la Belgique cherchait à défendre la diversité. Par exemple au musée Magritte il y avait des images projeté la nuit sur la façade avec des textes uniquement en anglais sans aucune traduction. Je suppose que la raison est que les pauvres parlent uniquement français à Bruxelles et les riches anglais et que c'est une manière de faire de la ségrégation mais c'est vraiment dommage. Aide également dans la découverte des quartiers incontournables par des conseils avisés. Par contre la signalisation est franchement à revoir: quand on voit un panneau annonçant un incontournable (Mme Chapeau Janneken pis....), on est guidé un moment et puis on n'y arrive jamais sans demander à quelqu'un ou en utilisant plan ou Google Maps

3998 01/01/2017 14/01/2017 18-30 India Metro real time arrival monitoring and reliability in Accueil très mitigé dans deux boutiques où on aurait connection pensé être bien accueillis (chez Dandoy près de la grand place, on a l'impression d'avoir dérangé la vendeuse - Idem chez Witamer où la vendeuse comptait terminer son petit rangement dans l'arrière boutique avant de s'occuper de nous). Une grossière erreur de sa part sur la quantité qu'elle imaginait qu'on prendrait !!! On est parti chez Marcolini et Patrick Roger où la disponibilité des vendeurs est parfaite et dans ces deux magasins le client même de petites quantités est très bien considéré. Ce furent les seules déceptions avec les commerçants. Sinon c'est parfait. Nettement mieux qu'en France où les sujets de mécontentement sont nombreux à ce niveau ! Autre petit bémol la Visite de Bozar. On n'apprend après un premier accueil nous dirigeant vers les salles d'exposition qu'il faut au préalable ressortir prendre les billets en face. Pas de signalisation du tout dans le bâtiment C'est le bazar comme dirait Arno!!! Ça permet au personnel d'avoir une tâche supplémentaire!

I was impressed with the Grand Place and all the town squares we visited. Music on the streets with markets amazing. I would love to come back for the Christmas season looks like so much fun. I would bring an empty suitcase! Thank you for the wonderful experience in Brussels. I will be back.

Groot was onze ontgoocheling toen we een gepland bezoek aan de kerstmarkt aan onze neus zagen voorbijgaan door werken op het spoor op 3 en 4 december. Te gelijkertijd werden de lijnen Gent-Brussel alsook Kortrijk-Brussel door werken op beide lijnen geen optie meer om een bezoek aan de kerstmarkt te doen slagen. Misschien bent u hiervan op de hoogte maar indien niet betekent dit dat een pak West- en Oostvlamingen dit weekend niet op een comfortabele manier in Brussel konden geraken. Vriendelijke groeten

Ik heb ervan genoten om 'citytrips' te houden in de eigen stad vlakbij en toch te weinig bezocht de laatste jaren.

La propreté dans la ville est une had the chance to visit all we only visit a few. But we catastrophe ! Je logeais dans la rue St-Christophe someday we will return once again! et c'est à 5-6 min à pied de la Grand Place et déjà là des poubelles éventrées de partout des déchets en tout genre dans les rues des odeurs d'urines voir plus des gens trop alcoolisés qui font n'importe quoi en pleine rue des débuts de bagarres fréquents.

Je me demande si la municipalité se rend compte de l'état de délabrement et d'insalubrité dans lequel se trouve la ville dans des quartiers du centre ! Pour vous dire je suis repassée la semaine dernière dans le nord de Paris (18 ème arrondissement) réputé pour ne pas être propre et qui craint et bien j'ai trouvé tout ce secteur plus propre que le centre de Bruxelles !

I finally found a security guard at the Eurostar and they said they would check it out but I never heard an announcement over the tannoy that a bag had been found and that they needed to evacuate the area. There should be regular messages over the tannoy reminding people not to leave bags unattended. If one is found the area should be immediately evacuated and a controlled explosion by bomb disposal experts should take place

As many country was presented beautiful most important places but for Poland they put only one small church with fountain and monument . For me to be a Polish and be in this park was very embarrasing. For Someone who never has been in Poland and visit Miniature park for sure never go to Poland because there is nothing only one small church??? In my country is many beautiful places and citys like Krakow Wroclaw Lublin Zakopane Zamosc Poznan Torun or Sopot. We have plenty places in mountain and near sea with plenty of castles and cultural buildings.. How they could do this? It is very discryminatory and after my visit there I was very disappointed.

This was VERY There are so many different museums to visit dissappointing as we had to walk everywhere in especially those located around the grand palace torrential rain. The only other problem was the taxi drivers. We had a couple who were quite abusive (swearing at us) because we didn't travel as far as they would have liked (fare not big enough!). I understand the problem with Uber but I would definitely choose Uber over taxis after this experience particularly given that we were with children.

BELvue Museum and the Museum of other cities in Belgium Musical Instruments are probably my two favourite museums here. So well-designed and thought out.
