Alex Bryce Alex has dedicated many years to the development of swimming in Burnley. From originally being involved as a parent, Alex’s interest in swimming grew and his involvement grew to being a club volunteer, teacher, coach and for the past eight years as the chair of Burnley Aquatics Development Group.

Alex has contributed significantly to provide excellent opportunities and increase participation. Alex’s enthusiasm for the sport is second to none and he has been instrumental in developing partnerships with clubs in Burnley to create pathways for swimmers as well as bringing in much needed funding to develop the sport and create opportunities for all to enjoy swimming. Brian Crossley Brian founded and coaches the Burnley Aqualions Swim Club. Aqualions is a disability swim club and caters for individuals with a range of needs. Brian plans and delivers a swim session every Sunday and has done so for over 20 years. Members of the Aqua lions have differing needs and he ensures that anyone who comes along to the club is welcome and achieves something.

Not only does Brian run the club, he sets up the pool, sources funding, secures pool space, organises galas, and produces achievement certificates.

Brian also represents disability swimming on the Burnley Aquatics Development Group.
