Our Values Our core values have been developed through consultation with our Trustees, staff and volunteers. These values are integrate into our staff KPI processes and assessed through a behavioural scoring system. Enterprise • Burnley Community • Burnley Women • Claret in Mind • Employability Skills K itchen • Matchday • Families Health • Intervention Project Experiences • Women’s Health Weight • Achieving Moor • Veterans programme • Girls Post 16 Academy Facilities Strategy Our Charity has developed a facilities strategy to; • To create a new office HQ for all community staff – we moved into a brand new 60 seater office on site at the Turf Moor Stadium in August 2016. • Provide a base for our wide range of community based projects. • Provide a platform for us to trade from any assets we operated to drive unrestricted funds into our charitable work. • Improve poor quality facilities in the region or create new facilities to meet a local need/demand by working in collaboration with range of public and private sector partners. So what are our plans for 2016 – 2019? • The Leisure Box @ the Brierfield Mill - Develop a central community hub facility to be fully operated by our C CO, this facility will predominantly provide community sport and education opportunities. We have secured £4.2 million of capital funding and aim to open this facility in January 2019. • UCFB (University College of Football Business) – from 1st August 2016 we took occupation of the UCFB education facilities at Turf Moor to implement BTEC provision, employability and a wide range of other education provision. These facilities include x 6 32 seater classrooms, a 150 seater purpose built auditorium, a 40 seater library/ study centre, offices for 20 staff and all with pitch side views. • Whitehough Outdoor Centre – we acquired this 22 acre site from Lancashire County Council in July 2017 and now operate this site with a team of 3 full time staff running the centre. This site sleeps 90 people and includes six buildings and provides activities such as archery, high ropes, tree top climbing, orienteering and much more.

The new name reflects the importance given to establishing the club as the premier Rugby Union provider in the area. Several players have achieved Lancashire and England honours. The club is affiliated to the Rugby Football Union, the Lancashire County RFU & the Manchester and District Referees’ Society. Various members have held senior positions in these organisations. The original Club was formed in 1926 and has shared a clubhouse, changing rooms and pitches with Burnley Belvedere Football Club and Burnley Belvedere Cricket Club since 1961. There are two rugby pitches (one is floodlit), two football pitches and one cricket field. The club also has the use of a local authority pitch across the road on the Prairie Playing Fields. All three sports operate under the name of Belvedere and Calder Vale Sports Club (B&CVSC).

    Burnley Local Plan Second Review - 2006 1 - INTRODUCTION PURPOSE OF THE PLAN 1.1 The Burnley Local Plan Second Review (the Plan) was prepared under section 36 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990. The Plan sets out the Council’s detailed policies and proposals for the future development and use of land in the Borough up to 2016. 1.2 The land use planning framework provided by the Plan is wide ranging. It sets policies that protect and enhance valuable resources such as the countryside, Green Belt, listed and historic buildings, and features of ecological value. It also contains proposals that identify particular areas and sites where future development for housing, shops, employment and other land uses will take place. 1.3 The Plan forms part of the Development Plan for the Borough, together with the Joint Lancashire Structure Plan (2005). The Plan covers the period 2001 - 2016. The Plan was Adopted on 21st April 2006 and replaces the Burnley District Local Plan First Review (1991). FORM AND CONTENT OF THE PLAN 1.4 The Plan has two parts: this Written Statement and a Proposals Map. The Proposals Map identifies specific sites for housing, employment and other uses, and areas where particular policies will apply e.g. conservation areas, and Green Belt. 1.5 The Written Statement outlines the Council’s Vision for the Borough, the Strategy it will pursue in seeking to achieve this Vision, and the land use policies and proposals that are intended to bring about this Vision.
