Professionalism, Safety, and Respect for nature’s greatest elements are the magical combination that make our sailing school successful and special. Over the years we have developed a unique training system whereby students learn in a compact challenging and rewarding environment. With a maximum of three people plus the instructor on board or in a motor next to the students theoretical lesson time on shore is saved, and more emphasis can be placed upon the practical side of things, i.e... getting out on the water!

The result of this compact system is that besides having fun and experiencing a great sense of accomplishment the student is able to confidently sail in just a few days!

SAILING FOR CHILDREN

Beginners ‘We learn quicker than the grown-ups!’ Children’s sailing courses have become one of our great success stories. This is due to a motivated team and years of ‘know how’. Through experience and in just a few days we’re able to teach our youngest sailors the basics of sailing while having great fun and boosting their confidence. We have a range of especially designed for children of six years of age and upwards. In five days instruction, the kids are introduced to sailing terminology, rigging, capsizeing – which is so much fun - recovery and man overboard procedures, as well as lots of onwater practice of basic sailing skills. At the end of the course our young students will we able to navigate by themselves with the correct technique in light wind conditions.

Advanced We can sail fast too! After the beginner’s course has been successfully completed, students can improve their skills even further. In small groups, and under constant supervision, students practice keeping their boats under control in higher winds, which means more speed, which means more fun, and a great sense of accomplishment! Stand Up Paddling is the fastest growing sport and it is fun! While you are enjoying the water you are also getting a great workout enhancing both your fitness and health. Almost every muscle in the body will be used. SUP will strengthen your leg muscles, arms, back and shoulders. The core, back, and abdominal muscles are constantly at work to maintain balance. At Sailing Du Lac you will have the opportunity to learn this exciting sport under the instructions of qualified teachers. After only 1 lesson you will be able to master the board and go on your own to discover the lake in various breathtaking locations. Our first SUP-Lesson will introduce you to everything you need to know for your first outing: theoretical basics, intro to SUP techniques, turning methods and important safety rules.
