Robbie Williams (birth-name: Robert Peter Williams) was born on 13 February 1974 at Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England. Robbie Williams is a member of the English pop rock band Take That. Take That are a five-piece pop group comprising Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, Jason Orange, Mark Owen and Robbie Williams. Robbie Williams rose to fame in Take That’s first run in the early- to mid-1990s. After many disagreements with the management and certain group members, Robbie Williams left Take That in 1995 to pursue his solo career. On 15 July 2010, it was announced Robbie Williams had rejoined Take That and that they are intended to release a new album in November 2010. Robbie Williams has sold more than 55 million records worldwide. Robbie Williams is the best- selling British solo artist in the United Kingdom and the best selling non- Latino artist in Latin America. Six of Robbie Williams’ albums are among the top 100 biggest-selling albums in the United Kingdom. Robbie Williams has also been honoured with fifteen BRIT Awards (more than any other artist) and seven ECHO Awards. Robbie Williams was inducted into the UK Music Hall of Fame in 2004, after being voted as the ‘Greatest Artist of the 1990s’. Take That reformed in 2005 without Robbie Williams and achieved new success as a four-piece scoring a string of chart hits whilst taking the number of records sold to over 40 million worldwide. Take That have released five studio albums so far: Take That & Party (1992), Everything Changes (1993), Nobody Else (1995), Beautiful World (2006) and The Circus (2008). Robbie Williams announced his return to Take That on 15 July 2010. Take That will release their upcoming sixth studio album Progress on 22 November 2010. Progress is the first album of Take That to feature original five-piece line-up since their reformation in 2005 and featuring Robbie Williams after 14 years.
