Prospectus containing eligibility conditions, list of participating institutions with no. of sanctioned seats, code no. of Colleges / Institutes and reservation policy can be seen/ downloaded from University website www.mdurohtak.ac.in or www.hbed2011.net or www.hbed2011.org. 2. The Admission to B.Ed. (Regular) Course for the session 2011-12 will be made on the basis of marks obtained in the Qualifiying Exmaination. 3. In case a candidate has passed the Master Degree Examination also alongwith Bachelor Degree, the higher percentage of marks obtained in either of the two will be taken into consideration while preparing the merit. 4. No one who is already in employement (whole time or part time or in honorary capacity) shall be admitted to the B.Ed. (Regular) Course in any College of Education without taking leave from the employer for full academic session. 5. It will be the responsibility of the candidate to ensure eligibility for admission before applying for the course. If on verification at a later stage, it is found that a candidate does not fulfil the eligibility conditions, his/her candidature will be cancelled and the fee deposited by him/her shall be forfeited. 6. In case of ambiguity about any rule, the interpretation of the same by the University shall be final. 7. All legal disputes relating to admission to B.Ed. (Regular) Course will be subject to Courts having jurisdiction at Rohtak. 8. The number of colleges/sanctioned seats may increase or decrease based upon the approval and affiliation from the University concerned. 9. While giving choices for colleges at website www.mdurohtak.ac.in or www.hbed2011.net or www.hbed2011.org, candidates MUST consult carefully the updated list of colleges published in the prospectus and on the website in view of the pending writs/appeals in courts/NCTE with regard to their recognition. 10. After IIIrd Counselling no further counselling shall be conducted by the University for admission and no colleges shall be allowed to make admission even if seats remain vacant, to maintain minimum 180 days compulsory teaching as per UGC norms which is mandatory. 8 INSTRUCTIONS FOR COLLEGES 1. Every College/Department shall constitute an Admission Committee to be appointed by the Principal/Chairperson from amongst the teachers of College/Department. 2. College/Department Admission Committee shall duly check the original documents at the time of admission. 3. Responsibility for any wrong/irregular/excess admission will entirely rest upon the Principal/ Chairperson concerned. 4. Admission of candidates who have passed their qualifying examination from other university shall be provisional subject to verification of the eligibility by the registration branch of the university concerned. 5. Principals of the colleges must have an updated book of Equivalence of (Indian/Foreign) Examination of the concerned university in order to verify the eligibility of candidates who have passed their qualifying examination from other than the Universities of Haryana State. 6. Principal of the college will report every day in the evening about each admitted/not admitted candidate from the allotted list on the website. The detailed schedule in this regard will be given on the website. 7. Every College/Department must give accurate information on its website regarding human and infrastructure resources alongwith subjects in which teachers are available in the College/ Department. 9 PARTICIPATING UNIVERSITIES OF HARYANA AT A GLANCE 1) MAHARSHI DAYANAND UNIVERSITY, ROHTAK Profile Maharshi Dayanand University, ab initio established as Rohtak University, Rohtak, came into existence by an Act No. 25 of 1975 of the Haryana Legislative Assembly in 1976 with the objective to promote inter-disciplinary higher education and research in the fields of environmental, ecological and life sciences. It was rechristened as Maharshi Dayanand University in 1977 after the name of a great visionary and social reformer, Maharshi Dayanand. It had a unitary and residential character in its nascent stage, but became an affiliating University in November 1978. The University secured the recognition of University Grants Commission - the higher education regulatory body of India - for central Govt.

Evidences of its existence are found in most of all the Indian states and Haryana was also an important centre of Jainism during hoary past. A large number of Jaina sculptures and other antiquities are occasionally found as chance discoveries from various archaeological sites in Haryana. The Jaina literature also refers to many important Jaina sites such as Agroha, Hansi, Rohtak etc. and many more place are yet to identify which are mentioned in ancient Jaina literature but so far as no attempt has been made to study the Jaina remains in Haryana in holistic perspective. Author of this paper have explored most of the known Jaina sites and provide a systematic documentation of recorded findings. The study was conducted in Rajasthan, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. Information was gathered through museums, tailors, elderly people and print sources. Different words used for pockets and their varied usages were compiled. Socio- cultural factors related to pockets were studied.
