Some of it may have been acquired by other councils, like the former county, or district councils. However, almost all former burghs had a Common Good Fund, which consisted of land, buildings, moveable items like paintings, and cash. The land and buildings which a burgh owned were made up of three main categories: those acquired under a statute (for example, land bought for council housing); land held on trust where a benefactor had provided for a specific trust to be administered by the fund; and Common Good property. What property now forms parts of the Common Good Fund may sometimes need research, as it may not be obvious from the titles what property was acquired for. 2 Anstruther ANSTRUTHER Former Burghs: Kilrenny Royal Burgh, Anstruther Easter Royal Burgh and Anstruther Wester Royal Burgh SRN (GRPN/OR ref) Asset (Name or description) Type of asset Location Town Extent Origin (Provenance) Accession number (if applicable) Comments Land 005974 St Andrews Road Car Park Land Station Road Anstruther Part of asset 006603 Land at Anstruther Golf Course Land The Golf Course Anstruther Part of asset 100065 Cellardyke Park Land East End Anstruther Whole asset 100128 Garage Site Land St Andrews Road Anstruther Whole asset 100975 Car Park Land George Street Anstruther Whole asset 101085 Access Land St Andrews Road Anstruther Whole asset Buildings 000400 Easter Town Hall Building Cunzie Street Anstruther Whole asset 000406 Cellardyke Town Hall Building Tollbooth Wynd Anstruther Most of Asset Structure 005082 Cellardyke Harbour Structure Shore Street Anstruther Whole asset Art & Artefacts ANST001 Provost chain & badge Civic Regalia Cupar Museum Cupar CUPMS:2001.0095 Store ANST002 Madonna and Child with the Artwork OnFife Collections Glenrothes Passed to North East CUPMS:1982.20 Infant Saint John the Baptist, Centre Fife Disrtict Council Artist: School of Domenico from the burgh of Puligo c.1520s Anstruther in 1984 Common Good fund Anstruther Common Good Fund 3 Auchtermuchty AUCHTERMUCHTY Former Burgh: Auchtermuchty royal burgh SRN (GRPN/OR Origin Accession number (if Asset (Name or description) Type of asset Location Town Extent Comments ref) (Provenance) applicable) Land 004170 Auchtermuchty Public Park Land Low Road Auchtermuchty Whole asset N/A 005975 Station Road Car Park Land Station Road Auchtermuchty Whole asset N/A 100976 Station Road Park Land Station Road Auchtermuchty Whole asset N/A 101079 Amenity Land Land Newburgh Road Auchtermuchty Whole asset N/A Buildings 000401 Victoria Hall Building 19 Burnside Auchtermuchty Whole asset N/A 000402 Auchtermuchty Town Hall/Library Building High Street Auchtermuchty Whole asset N/A Structure 101097 Auchtermuchty War Memorial Structure High Street Auchtermuchty Whole asset N/A Art & Artefacts AUCH001 Royal Charter -
