It is bounded on the villages North by Thiruchirapalli and Cuddalore districts, on the East by Tiruvarur and Kumbakonam 124 Nagapattinam districts, on the South by Palk Orathanadu 125 Strait and Pudukottai district and on the west by Pudukkottai district and Tiruchirapalli Papanasam 120 districts.
