Mr. Yves VAN DAMME : Mr. Yves VAN DAMME practices the profession of lawyer exclusively under the company B.V. ADVOCATENKANTOOR YVES VAN DAMME, of which he is shareholder and director and of which the registered office is at 8000 Brugge, Julius en Maurits Sabbestraat 2A. 2. The professional liability insurance
Without prejudice to the exclusions of liability and the limitations of liability stipulated in the Company’s General Terms and Conditions, the professional liability of the Company and its lawyers is (since 1 January 2013) insured

Van Overstraetenplein 2, 3000 Leuven, co-insurer for a limited share) under policy LXX034899 “Burgerlijke beroepsaansprakelijkheid van advocaten – Orde van Vlaamse Balies” (translation : "Civil professional liability of lawyers – Association of Flemish Bars")
- in second rank with AG INSURANCE NV (with office at 1000 Brussel, E. Jacqmainlaan 53, leading insurer and co-insurer for a limited share), ZURICH INSURANCE PLC, BELGIUM BRANCH (with office at Da Vincilaan 5, 1930 Zaventem, co-insurer for a limited share) and KBC VERZEKERINGEN NV (with office at Professor R. Van Overstraetenplein 2, 3000 Leuven, co-insurer for a limited share) under policy 99.551.935 “Burgerlijke beroepsaansprakelijkheid van advocaten – 2e rangspolis – Orde van Vlaamse Balies” (translation : "Civil professional liability of lawyers – 2nd rank policy – Association of Flemish Bars").
The broker for this insurance is VANBREDA RISK & BENEFITS, Plantin en Moretuslei 297, 2140 Antwerp.
Article 9 of the above mentioned policy in first rank LXX034899 stipulates with respect to territorial extent (geographical cover): “De waarborg van deze overeenkomst is van toepassing op de gevolgen van

daden gepleegd in de hele wereld, voor activiteiten die de verzekerden uitvoeren vanuit hun in België̈̈̈̈ gevestigd kantoor en onder voorbehoud van de door artikel 8 gemaakte verduidelijkingen. Zijn echter niet verzekerd de eisen die tegen de verzekerden ingesteld worden in de VS of Canada, of onder de wetgeving of de rechtsmacht van de VS of Canada.” (translation: “The guarantee of this agreement applies to the consequences of acts committed throughout the world, for activities carried out by the insured persons from their office in Belgium and subject to the clarifications in article 8. However, are not insured the claims instituted against the insured in the U.S. or Canada, or under the laws or the jurisdiction of the U.S. or Canada.”
The terms and conditions of this insurance are stipulated in the applicable policies. Upon simple request the Client can obtain from the Company a copy of these policies.
