Duas from the Quran, Sunnah, Salaf and Heart

DUAS FROM THE , , SALAF AND HEART By Shaykh Mufti Kamaluddin Ahmed

And when My slaves ask you (O SAW) concerning Me, then (answer them), I am indeed near (to them by My Knowledge).

Invoke your Lord with humility and in secret. He likes not the aggressors.

And your Lord said: "Invoke Me, [i.e. believe in My Oneness (Islâmic Monotheism)] (and ask Me for anything) I will respond to your (). Verily! Those who scorn My worship [i.e. do not invoke Me, and do not believe in My Oneness, (Islâmic Monotheism)] they will surely enter in humiliation!" (Al-Momin:60)

Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Invoke Allâh or invoke the Most Gracious (Allâh), by whatever name you invoke Him (it is the same), for to Him belong the Best Names. And offer your Salât () neither aloud nor in a low voice, but follow a way between.

Supplication is the marrow of worship.

Nothing is dearer to than . (Tirmidhi, Dua, 1) One of three things never fails to come to a man from supplication: either a sin is forgiven, or something good comes hurriedly to him or something good is stored u for him.

said, " says: 'I am just as My slave thinks I am, (i.e. I am able to (ﷺ) The Prophet do for him what he thinks I can do for him) and I am with him if He remembers Me. If he remembers Me in himself, I too, remember him in Myself; and if he remembers Me in a group of people, I remember him in a group that is better than they; and if he comes one span nearer to Me, I go one cubit nearer to him; and if he comes one cubit nearer to Me, I go a distance of two outstretched arms nearer to him; and if he comes to Me walking, I go to him running.' " (Bukhari, , 50) …

….and a person who remembers Allah in seclusion and his eyes are then flooded with tears."

The people do not sit but they are surrounded by and covered by Mercy, and there descends upon them tranquility as they remember Allah, and Allah makes a mention of them to those who are near Him.

And Mûsa () chose out of his people seventy (of the best) men for Our appointed time and place of meeting, and when they were seized with a violent earthquake, he said: "O my Lord, if it had been Your Will, You could have destroyed them and me before; would You destroy us for the deeds of the foolish ones among us? It is only Your Trial by which You lead astray whom You will, and keep guided whom You will. You are our Walî (Protector), so forgive us and have Mercy on us, for You are the Best of those who forgive. Our Lord! In You (Alone) we put our trust, and to You (Alone) we turn in repentance, and to You (Alone) is (our) final Return (Al-Mumtahina:4)

They said: "In Allâh we put our trust. Our Lord! And they said nothing but: "Our Lord! Forgive us our sins and our transgressions (in keeping our duties to You), establish our feet firmly, and give us victory over the disbelieving folk."
