Delphi DS Diagnostics 2017.21 Software Update October 2017 DM1356 Delphi DS Diagnostics 2017.21 Software Update 2017.21 main changes Software functionalities improvement Expansion of vehicles coverage Important reminder The integration of the VTI content in the Direct Evolution platform involves a new process to access the Technical Information from the DS tool. Since the diagnostic software version 2017.11, your VCI needs to be linked to your Direct Evolution / VTI account. Access to software update Installation DVDs are no longer available to update the DS tool Software update 2017.21 is available for automatic download from October 9th 2017. It will also be available on http://dso.my-Delphi.com/ late October. 1 Software functionalities improvement Various functionalities and minor bug fixes have been implemented in this version. Below are the main enhancements: Expert mode on PSA vehicles The Expert mode has been made more responsive than before, in PSA vehicles. This results in improving the access and the speed of expansion of the treeview for Engine systems Improvement of the ISS report loading function Loading the Intelligent System Scan report could take too long in some cases, resulting in the software hanging and the functionality being degraded. This function has been improved the software version 2017.21 making it possible to better manage the ISS reports for all the applications. This is particularly visible on Peugeot and Citroën brands, compared to the previous version of software. Volvo FM iSHIFT – New clutch calibration Implemented an additional functionality: “Programming clutch drag point”. This gives the possibility to perform the calibration of clutches having extreme settings. Without this new function, the calibration procedure would fail in the cases where the clutch wearing characteristics are above a certain limit. 2 Systems coverage - Update statistics Number of systems - CAR 28800 28600 28400 +880 28200 28000 27800 27600 2017.01 2017.11 2017.21 Number of systems – HEAVY-DUTY 11300 11250 11200 11150 +274 11100 11050 11000 10950 2017.01 2017.11 2017.21 3 Applications coverage - New models Brand Model Abarth Abarth 124 Spider Citroën C3 Serie 4 [17-] Ford Ka+ [16-] Mercedes E-Class Coupé [C238] Peugeot 3008 [17-] Renault Zoe Seat Ateca [16-] Volkswagen Caddy III [16-] Mitsubishi L200 V [15-] Subaru Impreza [16-] 200 [11-14] Chrysler 200 [15-] Pacifica Clubman [F54] Mini Convertible [F57] Mercedes Truck Unimog U20 4 2017.21 content – Cars 2017.21 Cars System Brands Models Petrol 58 1221 Fuel 16 136 Ignition 6 17 Diesel 56 890 Brake 51 960 Instrument 42 604 Climate 44 593 Gearbox 46 606 Immobiliser 43 509 SRS (Safety restraint system) 50 928 Multifunction 46 800 SLR (Service Light Reset) 42 540 Scan 45 830 Numberof brands/modelsper system type EV 10 17 Suspension 2 4 TPMS (Tire-pressure monitoring system) 39 383 Total number of brands/models 68 1295 Total number of unique system selections 28757 5 © 2014 Delphi Automotive Systems PLC. Delphi only sell through authorized distributors and retailers Software updates can only be completed with a genuine software License, and is a download only. Licenses are only sold through authorized distributors and retailers Using pirated hardware and software could potentially compromise the vehicle’s integrity during diagnosis and repair resulting in unrepairable damage Counterfeit hardware may not be capable of running the correct tests or decoding the information within the vehicle ECU Pirated software has been found to be a very early hacked version (E.g. 2.13.3) made to look newer. The genuine software has grown – 68 Car and 73 Truck brands covering over 1856 models across all systems The very old hacked version is sometimes labelled 2014, 2015 or 2016 software and is sold online. This doesn’t reflect Delphi genuine software and is far behind the current version sold by Delphi through the authorized distributors. ‘Delphi’ logo on the pirated hardware is of poor quality and incorrectly positioned Genuine hardware has a rubber outer case. The pirated version is hard plastic The upper part of the genuine hardware has a smooth matt finish. The pirated hardware is a cheap, rough, glossy coating Only genuine hardware has full Bluetooth connectivity. Pirated versions do not. Pirated hardware displays a fake CE marking, showing the product was ‘Made In China’. Genuine hardware displays an official CE marking, stating the product was ‘Made In Sweden’ Pirated hardware displays an out of serial number. If the unit displays ‘100251’, then the unit is fake Pirated hardware is not capable of the ‘Flight Recorder’ function due to missing components within the unit Genuine Delphi software will not ask you for a license key for activation Remember Cheap diagnostic tools aren’t good, good diagnostic tools aren’t cheap 14 Getting the most from your DS You may not be seeing the full potential of your DS Diagnostic tool.

  • Additional Toyota and Lexus Vehicles Certified for the Energy Tax Credit
Media Relations Office Washington, D.C. Media Contact: 202.622.4000 www.IRS.gov/newsroom Public Contact: 800.829.1040 Additional Toyota and Lexus Vehicles Certified for the Energy Tax Credit IR-2006-154, Sept. 29, 2006 WASHINGTON — The Internal Revenue Service acknowledged the certification by Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A., Inc., that several of their hybrid Model Year 2007 vehicles qualify for the hybrid tax credit enacted by the Energy Policy Act of 2005. The certified vehicles are the Toyota Prius, Toyota Highlander Hybrid and the Lexus RX 400h 2WD and 4WD vehicles. The tax credit for hybrid vehicles applies to vehicles purchased on or after January 1, 2006, and may be as much as $3,400 for those who purchase the most fuel-efficient vehicles. The hybrid vehicle certifications recently acknowledged by the IRS and their full credit amounts are: • 2007 Toyota Prius $3,150 • 2007 Toyota Highlander Hybrid 2WD and 4WD $2,600 • 2007 Lexus RX 400h 2WD and 4WD $2,200 The full credit amount for these Toyota and Lexus vehicles is available to qualifying purchasers through September 30, 2006. This tax credit replaced the tax deduction of $2,000, which was previously allowed for taxpayers who purchased a new hybrid vehicle before December 31, 2005, for the clean-burning fuel deduction. Many currently available hybrid vehicles have been certified and qualify for the credit. The credit for otherwise qualifying vehicles begins to phase out in the second calendar quarter after the quarter in which the manufacturer sells its 60,000th qualifying vehicle. Toyota has reported sales of 88,610 qualifying vehicles (41,779 in the quarter ended March 31, 2006 and 44,831 in the quarter ended June 30, 2006).
