QC DANCE CLASS ATTIRE Overview QC Dance maintains a powerful and strict code of honor and dress. Proper dance attire is mandatory for each class. Hair is to be pulled back and away from the face for all classes. For all ballet classes, dancers should have hair affixed in a secure bun for their time in the studio. Class appropriate shoes are mandatory, and dance should positively MAY NOT be worn outside the studio. Dress Code for Dance & Yoga
Dress Code for Dance & Yoga *All Student’s hair should be tied back and out of the face for all movement classes. Workshops Moving with Parent & Tot Bring yourself and your child in something you can easily move in. We will be dancing, rolling and sliding and jumping on and off the floor. Dancers will dance barefoot. Beginning/Intermediate Ballet Dancers may wear leotards and convertible tights or leggings. Hair should be up and out of the face. A bun would be ideal. Ballet shoes are optional. Intro to Tap Dancers should wear comfortable and flexible clothes to move in. Tap shoes are required. Hair should be up and out of the face. Beginning Hip Hop Breakdancing 101 Hair should be up and out of the face. Dancers should wear breathable workout clothes, like leggings, warm-up pants and tank tops or t-shirts. Pants that cover the knee are recommended. Dancers may also wear sneakers that are clean on the bottom (not worn on the street) or a dance sneaker for support. Classes for Ages 3-5 Hip Hoppers Shake, Rattle & Roll Hair should be up and out of the face. Dancers should wear comfortable clothes to move in like leggings, cotton pants, t-shirts or tank tops. No slippers, zippers or buttons. Please have your child ready to move barefooted (NO FOOTED TIGHTS). Please keep accessories such as crowns, wands, wings, stuffed animals and ballet slippers at home. Dance Play Yoga & Dance Play Hair should be up and out of the face. Dancers may wear leotards, skirts, and/or footless tights, leggings or warmup pants. -

These methods of making apparel fabrics are length and costly. However, because of the advancements in nonwoven technology, nonwoven fabrics are finding a niche market in the clothing industry because of its cost effectiveness and high speeds of nonwoven production processes. We have carried out an extensive study on the development of apparel- like nonwoven fabrics. The resultant fabric showed improved drape, hand, durability and thermophysiological comfort characteristics than the reference samples for apparel applications. Results of the study also showed that the developed nonwoven fabrics showed nearly 200% higher tensile strength than the reference nonwoven fabrics. Furthermore, it also showed improved air permeability, for example, the resultant nonwoven fabric exhibited 500% higher air permeability value as compared with the Evolon fabric at 100 Pa pressure. Thus the results of the study indicate that the resultant nonwoven fabrics may be used in a wide range of apparel applications, which can lead to additional benefits in terms of cost and time. -

Empowerment of Honduran Workers Through United Students Against
Shelby Mastovich How has the Empowerment of Honduran Workers been influenced by United Students Against Sweatshops? Abstract With globalization increasing the “Race to the Bottom” in many industries, there has also been a rise in activism to combat the abuses to workers’ rights associated with this trend. One of these initiatives, United Students Against Sweatshops, a democratic student-run labor activist organization, has had a significant impact within the realm of workers’ rights activism. In this paper, I look at what type of influence the group has had with its campaigns focusing on workers. In particular, I am analyzing the background, actions, and effects of the case of its campaign against the brand Russell Athletic and how it has influenced the level of empowerment of workers that work for the brand in its Honduran factories. What is United Students Against Sweatshops? The year of 1997 brought about the birth of United Students Against Sweatshops, a group that would alter the way in which student and worker power was perceived. It created a spike in efforts within the fight against corporate greed and exploitation in solidarity between the students and workers (Krupat, 2002: 112). By this time, globalization had already dramatically transformed the way in which a vast amount of goods were produced and consumed. During the 1990s, the common view of globalization was that big business investment and trade cross-nationally could only result in positive relationships in the international sphere (Naím, 2009: 30). Despite what good may come from globalization, by 1997 it was clear that its effects were not always to the benefit of working peoples.
