The rationale for the selection: - Urban population - city, including a high number of students - Flying Start Area in the Marchog 1 and 2 wards - high in the Welsh Index of Multiple Deprivation in terms of employment - positions 1 and 4 - Flying Start Area in Bethesda – two wards graded within the 30-50% most deprived in terms of employment across - Low level wards for employment deprivation such as Pentir 1 and Menai i.e. high level of population in work - Density of the number of childcare locations relatively high in Bangor city - Big employers located in this area such as Ysbyty Gwynedd, Bangor University etc. - A number of Anglesey families using child care in Bangor city (childcare feasibility assessment statistics)
