FREE SUMMER 2017 CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS: Douglas County CASA is pleased to be providing children who are at- risk with an opportunity to participate in summer camps and activities in 2018, thanks to funding by the Ethel and Raymond Rice Foundation. One scholarship per student may be provided. If you are interested in learning more about this scholarship opportunity and eligibility requirements, please contact Leslie Stallard via email at [email protected] or direct phone #785-330-4598. Here are the main steps/tips in the process of obtaining a scholarship: 1. Contact Leslie Stallard school counselor at Quail Run ([email protected] or #330-4598). 2. Select a summer camp of student’s choice. 3. Complete the chosen camp’s enrollment form and provide that to Leslie Stallard. If the enrollment is online only, please provide the camp’s website and all enrollment details required. 4. Parents/guardians are responsible for obtaining and filling out the camp enrollment form, obtaining any required equipment or physician’s statement. 5. Parent/guardians are responsible for transporting the child to and from the camp. 6. Completed camp enrollment form/s must be turned into Leslie Stallard by May 4. *Scholarship applications will be considered in the order they are received. Priority will be given to summer camps costing less than $300.00 or those with full funding secured, and for those applicants attending a summer activity for the first time.
