The field was taken along at a decent clip by Effernock Fizz (Lovelace) and Maria Christina (Kodiac), with last year’s Gr.1 Irish St Leger heroine Search For A Song (Galileo) in third. As the field rounded the sweeping home turn, Search For A Song kicked for home and briefly took the lead but was collared almost immediately by the 2018 Gr.1 Irish Derby victor Latrobe (Camelot). As that duo briefly battled, Leo De Fury came with a sweeping run under Shane Foley, powering down their outside to hit the front over a furlong out and win going away by three lengths from Fleeting (Zoffany), with Numerian (Holy Roman Emperor) a Leo De Fury (Australia) stretches clear in the Gr.2 further two and a half lengths in arrears in third.
