Page 1 of 2 Media Release From Trevor James PRO, NAAA 29th September 2011 NAAA Track & Field Athletes & Officials Selected For Pan Am Games 2011 The National Association of Athletics Administration announced the team recently that will represent Trinidad and Tobago at the Pan Am Games 2011, which will be held in Guadalajara. Mexico from the 14th – 30th October 2011. The Track and Field events will officially begin on 23rd through 30th October at the Telmex Athletics Stadium in Mexico. Heading the list for the women category will be Cleopatra Borel who will compete in the women’s shot put. Also in the women lineup will be Pilar Mc Shine who recently returned home after completing her 4 year University Degree in the United States of America, she will compete in the 1500m. In the men’s category Emmanuel Callender and Darrel Brown will both vie for a place in the final of the men’s 100m, while Jamaal James who recently ran an impressive time in Brussels recently clocking a time of 1:47.7 will compete in the 800m men. Medal hopeful Quincy Wilson will contest the discus throw. Quincy threw a distance of 59.60m, a personal best at the NAAA Sagicor Championships held at the Hasely Crawford Stadium in August 2011. Carifta Gold Record medallist, Keshorn Walcott will compete in the men’s javelin event. At the Carifta earlier this year he threw a distance of 67.82 meters and at the NAAA Twilight meet in June 2011 he broke his own record by a massive throw of 72.87m.
