All student- athletes are exposed to different career development opportunities in the monthly Mizzou Made meetings, but individual student-athletes also have the ability to take advantage of tailored servies offered by our Student-Athlete Development staff. Preparing student-athletes for career development beings with Career Coaching. Working with the student-athletes to learn about their interests, assessing their skills, values, and leadership styles, as well as meeting with campus academic advisors, our staff is able to provide more information on careers and fi nd ways for student-athletes to gain experience. Finding those pathways is the next step in the process. Through our Dining Hall Meet & Greets, Career Fair, Speed Networking events, and job shadowing opportunities, student-athletes are exposed to different companies, recruiters, and careers. Going further, we use these opportunities to help student-athletes fi nd internships, part-time work, and full-time employment. For student-athletes who are interested in continuing their education, the Student-Athlete Development staff can assist in research, planning, and applying to the graduate program of your choice. We assist in study materials for the Graduate School of Admissions tests. The Graduate School process can be overwhelming and the Student-Athlete Development staff is a resource for all student-athletes.
