It is likely to be briefed on New Delhi’s infrastructure and other facilities as part of its bid for staging the Commonwealth Games in 2010. The delegation mem- bers were present at the Afro-Asian Games, which concluded in Hyderabad on Saturday. The Indian Olympic Association will make a presentation before the delegates and members of the diplomatic communi- ty in the Capital to pres- ent New Delhi’s case for staging the event. This will be followed by a meeting with the sports minister Vikram Verma. Canada’s Hamilton is the other contender for host- ing the Games. Mean- while, the bid panel is try- ing to rope in legendary cricketer Sunil Gavaskar in its fold.
