In the RAMBLINGS coming days, listen to Priyanka Barve, who plays Anarkali in Feroze Abbas Khan’s Mughal-e-Azam, sing ghazals (April 24), while playback singer Javed Ali takes you on a Sufi journey (April 25). Poet Shakeel Jamali talks about shayariand talaffuz(April 23), and there will be a session by actor Shabana Azmi and poet Javed Akhtar (pictured)on April 26. What’s also interesting is that these concerts are monetised. Priced at Rs 1,200, the proceeds from the tickets will support musicians facing financial crisis at this point. Watch their YouTube channel for a dance performance by Bharatanatyam exponent Malavika Sarrukai (pictured). Then there are performances by Buddhist nun Ani Choying, flautist Ashwin Srinivasan and Purbayan Chatterjee on April 24. A concert by Symphony Orchestra of India showcasing German Romantic composer Bruch’s Violin Concerto 1will be streamed on April 25. All the performances are at 6pm.
