Anton Browne - Teaching cv Currently The BRIT School, ELAM and Online 1986 Ran a jazz vocal workshop for Jenako Arts in Islington in addition to teaching individuals privately. 1988 Taught singing classes and individuals at Lewisham College for three years part time. 1991 Secured post of singing teacher at the then brand new BRIT School. Responsible for setting up and running the BTEC singing option. 1996 Began work with students at Southwark College on the BTEC Performing Arts Course. 1997 Invited to join The City Lit team, taking Rock, Pop, & Soul Singing and then Jazz, Soul & Blues Singing. 1999 Produced The Sing Thing singing practice CD and set up the web site www.thesingthing.com to support it. Set up my professional site www.antonbrowne.co.uk 2000 Produced The Sing Thing 2 ‘A series of more challenging vocal exercises’. Jazz singing master-classes for Trinity College of Music juniors and The Royal Academy of Music. New album ‘Alternative Arrangements’ released and reviewed in The Observer. Singers In Control, workshops in August run by myself and colleague Laura Zakian designed to empower jazz singers. 2001 Professorial position at Trinity College of Music working with degree students; jazz and classical singers. Goldsmiths College University of London working with degree students; jazz voice. 2002 Co-wrote Popular Singing Grades with Tony Skinner, accredited by The London College of Music. These grades were ground-breaking, being the first of their kind, launched June 2003 2004 Started work on The Sing Thing 3 - Browne on Breathing, a DVD 2005 Started running Summer Jazz Singing workshop for Benslow Music Trust Commissioned to write the BTEC Singing Technique module for The Academy of Music and Sound. 2009 Joined the staff at The London Music School in Hackney. 2011 Vocal coach on tour for BBC T.V’s. The Voice UK. 2012 Vocal coach for National Youth Jazz Collective. 2014 Adjudicator for Croydon Festival of Music. 2015 Running new workshop for Benslow Music Trust entitled Jazz for Classical Singers Master classes for The Academy of Music and Sound at their centres around the UK 2016 Uploaded The Sing Thing video and began move to online tuition and videos. 2017 Additional workshop for Benslow Music Trust - entitled Jazz and Pop Singing. 2018 Additional workshop for Arts at Le Mas, near Bordeaux, France – Two Day Vocal Course for pop/jazz/blues singers. One to one singing tuition at ELAM (East London Arts and Music). 2019 Gradually sharing all I have discovered about singing (and other things) on my YouTube Channel for ‘Anton Browne’ - type Anton Browne into YouTube for my channel, then go to Playlists, then Singing Technique..

London College of Music online shop launched London College of Music Exams, part of the University of West London, is pleased to announce the launch of its new online shop in collaboration with Boosey & Hawkes. The LCM shop stocks over 2000 exam handbooks and publications, including repertoire from all publishers for each LCM syllabus. The shop also stocks the full range of Registry of Guitar Tutors (RGT) exam publications. Explore the new shop at: lcmmusicshop.uwl.ac.uk The shop’s exam music finder offers teachers and students a quick and easy way to select the sheet music they require for LCM exams. After selecting an instrumental syllabus and grade, exam lists are displayed with publications available for each piece. Full details of each publication are given, and the chosen items can then be simply added to the shop basket for secure purchase. As well as LCM and RGT handbooks and publications, music on exam lists from all other publishers is available via the LCM shop, so everything can be ordered online in a single visit.
