RANKINGS

2020 Indoor Preseason Rankings from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) will be released on Jan. 8, 2020

THIS WEEK CONFERENCE NOTES No competitions MEAC OVERVIEW • The 2019-20 MEAC indoor track & field season season will see all of the conference’s 11 institutions vying for the men’s and wom- en’s championships (though the Florida A&M men are ineligible for both the conference championship and postseason). North Caroli- na A&T State is the defending indoor champion for both the men and the women.

OPENING WEEK • The 2019-20 MEAC indoor track & field season opened this past Saturday, with 10 of the conference’s 11 teams in action across five different meets. Coppin State will open its 2019-20 indoor season after the New Year.

LAST SEASON • A&T State swept the men’s and women’s MEAC indoor titles for the third straight year -- becoming the first program in conference history to accomplish that feat. The Aggie men re- corded a meet-record 191 points in the three-peat. The MEAC also boasted two national champions during the indoor season: NCAT’s LAST WEEK Kayla White in the women’s 200 meters and South Carolina State’s Tyrell Richard in the men’s 400 meters.
