Lloyd Hylton of Morgan State has been named the Men’s Field Performer of the Week while North Carolina A&T State’s Anisa Toppin earned Women’s Field Performer of the Week honors. Williams (So., Hampton, Va.) ran the fifth-fastest time (50.73) in the nation and best in the MEAC as he placed second overall in the 400-meter hurdles at the Florida Relays. He also helped Hampton place first in the college mile relay with a MEAC-best mark of 3:08.05 and Track & Field Performers of the Week second in the 1,600-meter sprint medley relay (3:21.49).
