Designing for LEED

Lighting systems can play an important role in achieving a LEED certified sustainable design and qualifying for government and utility incentives.

Philips Ledalite’s 25W TT5 lighting system can significantly reduce power densities and earn up to 5 LEED points for (EA Credit 1.1*). The low mercury content and the reduction in lamps achieved with wider luminaire spacing can also help designers receive a credit for sustainable purchasing (MR Credit 4*).

Adding Philips Ledalite control technologies, such as fixture integrated Response daylight harvesting sensors and Airwave wireless controls, can further improve energy performance and contribute an additional 4 points to maximize LEED points towards certification (EA Credit 1.2* & IEQ Credit 6.1*). The sweet spot for open spaces with 25% to 35% in energy savings.

The new Energy Advantage 25W TT5 lamping option for Pique, PureFX, Vectra and Voice luminaires can be applied at 8'x10' or even 10'x10' centers - saving costs and energy without sacrificing lighting quality.
