5. General issues raised by industry association during the course of meeting

Majority of the workers is semi-skilled and operating with old/second hand machinery. Though the labour cost is cheep, the production cost of each piece exceeds than that of the standard cost. This is due to the lack of traditional type of manufacturing technique, unorganized and seasonal business. Government Rules and regulations are threatening factors to the existing/prospective entrepreneurs for further investments (like labour law, taxation etc). Process of releasing of financial assistance to the industries should be made more easy and extend concessional rate of interest to the industry sector to boost the growth rate of industry production.
