  • The Overview of Green Building Sector in Slovakia
EAI Endorsed Transactions on Energy Web Research Article The overview of green building sector in Slovakia Julius Golej1,* and Andrej Adamuscin1 1 Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, Institute of Management, Slovakia Abstract Green buildings have become a global trend in recent years, reflecting a social order for sustainable development from the sides of all stakeholders. This is confirmed by the fact that the global construction of green buildings comprises for almost a quarter of the total production of all buildings. Buildings generally represent a huge sector of energy consumers, so it is now necessary to reduce this consumption through smart design solutions and an appropriate building management system that will ensure efforts to achieve sustainable and smart urban requirements for the use of intelligent technologies. Regarding to the development of green buildings, Slovakia belongs to developing countries. The term "green building" is slowly becoming familiar in Slovakia, although it should be noted that the green building certification systems are only at the beginning. Also, the legislative and other financial support instruments for green buildings in Slovakia are under the phase of consideration and do not exist in practice. In the following paper, the authors explore green building sector in Slovakia. They present their development and overview, rating systems and analyses the most important investors and key local companies related to green buildings in Slovakia. Keywords: green building, Slovakia, rating systems, LEED, BREEAM. Obecně popisuje použitou metodu ražby Drill and Blast a k ní odpovídající použitou strojní sestavu. Součástí příspěvku je také vyjmenování nejzásadnějších problémů zastižených během provádění prací s popisem jejich řešení. ABSTRACT The paper describes one of the largest infrastructural projects currently under construction in Europe. It is the extension of the existing metro line from Helsinki to the neighbouring city of Espoo in Finland. The detailed focus of the paper relates to one of project’s lots, which is the mined station of Espoonlahti and related metro tunnels, which was built by Metrostav a.s. in cooperation with its Finnish partner Destia Oy during 2016–2018. Massive Delisting on the Prague Stock Exchange Zuzana Fungáčová* CERGE-EI† Abstract This research contributes to the investigation of the emerging stock markets in transition economies, namely in the Czech Republic. We estimate the impact of the various determinants of shares delisting e.g. exclusion from public trading on the Prague Stock Exchange (PSE) during the period 1993 – 2004. Unlike its counterparts in Poland or Hungary, exceptionally large amounts of shares were delisted from the PSE. Using the data on listed and delisted companies we show that the pre-privatization and privatization characteristics of the companies were decisive for delisting. This further indicates that it would have been possible to prevent massive delisting if these factors had been taken into account when deciding which companies to place on the stock exchange for public trading. Moreover, therefore companies that were not suitable for public trading were also not suitable for voucher privatization.
