At first she hates her room, which is a complete mess, but then she learns that the room was previously occupied by a carefree tramp named Charlie (Dulker Salmaan). When she starts cleaning up the place, she discovers the photo and the album of the man. The sketches show the previous new year, when a petty thief (Subin Shahir) tries to rob a man's room. In a turn of events, a man joins him and they both walk on the roof of the house. There they are shocked by what they see inside. It was the last page of the sketch, and the story remained unfinished, which arouses her curiosity about the rest of the story as well as the previous occupant of the room. Intrigued, Tessa begins to find people in his sketches. Stepping back from her steps, she meets the father of a man (who is more of a friend), a servant of the boat, and Mary/The queen Maria (Kalpana), a woman with physical violence. Charlie takes Maria out to sea for her birthday. Unfortunately, Maria committed suicide, and he becomes heartbroken. Following more evidence, Tessa receives the news that the man is in the hotel and rushes to meet him. However, she just misses him for a few seconds. Later, the boy's assistant at the hotel explains to her that the girl with Charlie was Maria's daughter. One day she meets a thief depicted in the sketches of this man and inquiries about the events of the day. He informs her that his Sir (Charlie) stopped the woman from hanging herself, and followed her as she fled the scene on her bicycle. They find a home and finally identify the girl as Dr. Kani (Aparna Gopinath). She then meets Kani and asks about her story. Kani explains that she was devastated by her broken relationship when she had her first independent operation leading to the death of a 10-year-old girl. Further hooked by the media, she was desperate and about to commit suicide on New Year's Eve and was this man. He takes her to a house supported by Kunjappan (Nedumudi Venu) and she lived there the further. Kunjappan is a hopeless romantic waiting for his teenage love Theresia to show up. Tessa's mother finds her and takes her home. While the depressed Tessa was on her way home, the man returns with the long-lost love of Kunjappan, who is now a nun. Kani informs him about Tessa, and he admits that he knows about Tessa and her search. Charlie informs Kani that he will attend the Thrissur Pooram function, and Tessa may find him there if she searches for him. Finally, Tessa finds him performing in a magic show. He then notices her, comes up and asks if she wants a drink. First she introduces herself as Shruti Roman and lets him think he met the wrong person. But as the festival begins, Charlie's antics make her admit that she is indeed Tessa, and he too shows his name to be Charlie. As the credits roll, they are seen wandering together for a new journey in life. Although Charlie is not an out-and-out entertainer, Charlie has elements that will be labeled as a wacky entertainer, filled with everything you need - celebration, surprises, patience, faith, care, and above all, all love! The Nowrunning website gave the film 2.5 stars out of five, stating: Charlie could have been called a daring attempt, but grandiose visions don't necessarily translate into a well-designed movie.
