Please encourage children to drink plenty of water- they should always have a bottle of water that they can refill during the day. Some parents put their bottle in the freezer over night to ensure their child’s drink stays cold all day. It is also during these hot spells that young people are often tempted to cool off in the river. It is not safe to play in the river which often has deceptively strong currents. We will be advising them against this and hope you will reinforce this message at home too. Please find below some useful links: http://www.rospa.com/leisure-safety/water/advice/children-young-people/ National Book Tokens Would you like to help provide the school with a chance of being picked to win £5,000 worth of book tokens to revamp the school library? All you need to do is enter your email and school choice to then enter the ballot. The competition ends on 31st July 2016 . Please enter here: http://www.nationalbooktokens.com/schools Woodcote Rally Marshalls Woodcote Rally Marshalls are still needed for the weekend. If you have any questions, please to speak to Elise Way. It would be great to have some extra helpers. Thank you. Waitrose Green Tokens We have been chosen by Waitrose Caversham to be one of their Green Token Community Matters charities for the month of July. Please could we ask parents/grandparents to collect their tokens from now on and donate into the Caversham store in July, or to drop into the school office where there will be a box on the window sill. Please spread the word amongst friends and family and ask them to save their tokens for us to help us raise funds towards our Road Safety Signage appeal. We still have £5k to raise! Thank you. Child Safety Please can we kindly ask that no children play in the playground or on the equipment before or after school as there is no adult to supervise them. All children should go straight to class in the morning. Stoke Row, Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire.
