PERSONALITY Personality Not Included
Early Praise for Personality Not Included “Wow. I devoured Personality Not Included, frequently shouting ‘yes!’ as I followed Rohit’s spot-on analysis of a fundamental truth: being faceless doesn’t work anymore. Per- sonality in both people and companies is what customers get passionate about and drives seemingly unlimited success. This is one of those rare books to purchase by the case so you can give copies to employees and investors. But make sure to keep a few for yourself to read and reread so you don’t miss a thing. Bravo!” —David Meerman Scott, bestselling author of The New Rules of Marketing and PR “Personality Not Included breaks down the old barriers between marketing, advertis- ing, and PR and shows people how to nail the single objective of it all: creating pow- erful conversations with your customers and getting them to choose you over the rest.” —Timothy Ferriss, top blogger and #1 New York Times bestselling author of The 4-Hour Workweek “There are two types of small business owners—ones who know they are in the busi- ness of marketing and those who don’t. For either, Personality Not Included is an eye- opening look at what really matters when it comes to delighting your customers. If you want a guide to being more than ordinary, get this book.” —John Jantsch, award-winning blogger and author of Duct Tape Marketing “Just being pretty isn’t enough anymore, today a brand also needs a strong personal- ity to survive. In PNI, Rohit gives you the techniques and tools to help your brand go from wallflower to social butterfly.” —Laura Ries, bestselling author of 22 Immutable Laws of Branding, and cofounder of Ries & Ries “Finally. -

The Paris meeting aims to revive the moribund Israeli-Palestinian peace process, amid fears of fresh violence if Trump implements a pledge to recognize the contested city of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. But neither Israel nor the Palestinians will be represented in Paris, and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has dismissed it as a “rigged” conference, insisting that only bilateral talks can bring peace. Meanwhile, First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah will leave for Paris today to lead Kuwait’s delegation to the conference. Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled will deliver a speech during the gathering, elab- orating on Palestinian and Arab concerns over the regional peace process and reiterating Kuwait’s stance on Palestinian state. Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled’s accompanying delegation includes Assistant Foreign Minister for the First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister’s Office Affairs Sheikh Dr Ambassador Ahmad Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah, Kuwaiti Ambassador to Paris Sami Al-Suleiman, Assistant Foreign Minister for Arab Affairs Ambassador Aziz Al-Daihani and several other senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. -

Sellars and Contemporary Philosophy
Sellars and Contemporary Philosophy Wilfrid Sellars made profound and lasting contributions to nearly every area of philosophy. The aim of this collection is to highlight the continu- ing importance of Sellars’ work to contemporary debates. The contributors include several luminaries in Sellars scholarship, as well as members of the new generation whose work demonstrates the lasting power of Sellars’ ideas. Papers by O’Shea and Koons develop Sellars’ underexplored views concerning ethics, practical reasoning, and free will, with an emphasis on his longstanding engagement with Kant. Sachs, Hicks, and Pereplyotchik relate Sellars’ views of mental phenomena to current topics in cognitive science and philosophy of mind. Fink, deVries, Price, Macbeth, Christias, and Bran- dom grapple with traditional Sellarsian themes, including meaning, truth, existence, and objectivity. Brandhoff provides an original account of the evolution of Sellars’ philosophy of language and his project of “pure prag- matics.” The volume concludes with an author-meets-critics section centered around Robert Brandom’s recent book, From Empiricism to Expressivism: Brandom Reads Sellars , with original commentaries and replies. David Pereplyotchik is assistant professor of philosophy at Kent State Uni- versity. He received his PhD in philosophy, with a concentration in cognitive science, from the CUNY Graduate Center. He is the author of Psychosyntax: The Nature of Grammar and Its Place in the Mind (2017) and is an active member of the Wilfrid Sellars Society. Deborah R. Barnbaum is professor and chair of philosophy at Kent State University. She received her PhD in philosophy from the University of Mas- sachusetts in 1996. She is the author of The Ethics of Autism (2008) and the co-author of Research Ethics: Text and Readings, with Michael Byron (2001). -

Downloaded by [New York University] at 13:32 13 August 2016 THE LEGACY OF SÁNDOR FERENCZI Ferenczi wanted his colleagues and pupils to think and work in their own unique ways and according to their own interests and personality. This is one of the reasons that therapists and analysts of various theoretical origins continue to be drawn to his propositions. Ferenczi was probably the first and perhaps still even the only psycho- analyst who did not speak of training in psychoanalysis, but of learning it according to one’s own rhythms rather than merely following a prescribed course. This impor- tant new book illustrates Ferenczi’s unique vision of psychoanalysis and summarizes and expands on the gifts psychoanalysts can find in the abundance of his work. It also offers a glimpse into Ferenczi’s personal history, and how this affected the ways in which he considered human beings, the world, psychoanalysis, and himself. —Judith Dupont, Ph.D. Editor, The Clinical Diary of Sándor Ferenczi, Literary representative of Sándor Ferenczi, Recipient of the 2013 Sigourney Award This fine collection of essays, written by clinicians and scholars of diverse back- grounds, honors the memory of Sándor Ferenczi, Sigmund Freud’s closest friend and collaborator, whose groundbreaking contributions to the theory and practice of psychoanalysis were scorned and marginalized by many of his contemporaries. Downloaded by [New York University] at 13:32 13 August 2016 The contributors to this volume have adroitly and sensitively demonstrated the relevance of Ferenczi’s ideas to current trends in psychoanalytic thinking and are taking a major step toward restoring his legacy to its rightful place in history.
