Venue | Event center The event center is situated at ASMILDKLOSTER AGRICULTURAL SCHOOL, Asmildklostervej 1, 8800 Viborg, with top facilities in order to host the Viborg MTBO 6 days. It is right near the town center of Viborg and easily accessible by car and public transport. Within 1 km you will find supermarkets, several restaurants and shops. In the event center you will find free wi-fi, bike wash, bike storage, etc. 3. Rules The Viborg MTBO 6 days will be organized in accordance with the Competition Rules for IOF MTB Orienteering Events, valid from 1st January 2019. All Competition Rules for IOF MTBO are available here: https://orienteering.sport/ Riding off track Riding off the tracks will be permitted only in the chase start competition. In all other competitions; sprint, middle, long and mass start, riding, running and walking off the tracks will be strictly forbidden. Controls situated outside paths/tracks In the chase start competition, controls will occur outside the tracks. Special features MTB tracks will be drawn as on the image below. 25 % grey colour under the black line, just to show the rider, here is a MTB track. The MTBO commission has permitted this, through the IOF Senior Event Adviser, for the WMTBOC/JWMTBOC. The signature will occur at middle, long and mass start maps. 5. Printed 9-10-1987. https://doi.org/10.37570/bgsd-1988-36-01 The Pleistocene deposits of Denmark are largely composed of two major facies that interfinger with each other: 1) tills, and 2) waterlaid outwash material. The two facies are occasionally interbedded with inter­ glacial or interstadial deposits. By applying lithostratigraphy combined with structural analysis in open exposures, a glacial stratigraphy of the Pleistocene has been established, and the glacial history interpreted. Only till units are classified lithostratifically because of their high regional consistency compared to waterlaid outwash deposits. Cor­ relation of till units is based on three basic properties: lithology, stratigraphic position and associated gla­ ciotectonic boundaries. Lithic characteristics, some of which have local value whilst others indicate regional properties, include data on local glacier flow directions from fabric analyses and the contents of provenance dependent com­ positional features, the latter may provide information on the long range path of glaciers. Fine gravel ana­ lyses and stone counts demonstrate, that distinct stratigraphical relationships exist between tills rich and poor in quartz as well as between tills of Fennoscandian and Baltic provenance primarily indicated by the quantities of Paleozoic limestone clasts. The contests of re-deposited Quaternary foraminifera primarily serve as lithic characteristica and secondly as a guide line to estimate the possible age of a till unit. Bounding relations between till units are studied with special emphasis on glaciotectonic unconfor­ maties.
