Guo Chongqing Guo Chongqing, born in Lanzhou City, Gansu Province, is the academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and an expert in technology and equipment, facilities design and planning, and strategy of industry development of Chinese machinery manufacturing. He also serves as the professor in School of Mechanical Engineering of Tongji University, Director of Department of Management Sciences of National Natural Science Foundation of China and Deputy Director of Department of Engineering Management of Chinese Academy of Engineering. Guo is the former professor of Tsinghua University, Southeast University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Harbin Institute Of Technology, Hefei University of Technology and Shandong University of Technology, and assumes the title of Director of Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, counselor of Group Technology Sector of Chinese Mechanical Engineering, honorary president of Henan Association for Science and Technology and honorary director of Henan Mechanical Engineering Society. Guo has long been engaged in design, consultation and research in strategy of industry development of engineering projects, and has also severed as the chief director for more than 30 national or ministerial-level key projects. He has been the Chief Designer for the reform of Shanghai Machine Tool Works, the first industrial project financed by World Bank, and presided over the research work on Work Bank financed Shenyang industry reform project assumed by Chinese engineering consulting institute, which made contributions to the technology development of Chinese industries. Guo is honored as Master in Engineering Design by Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the People’s Republic of China. .
