We will be oversubscribed We explained to you on the taster events that we have received a large number of applications this year and that we anticipate being oversubscribed for the coming academic year. The number of attendees to the taster events confirms this: we will be oversubscribed for September 2018. We are therefore writing to you to eXplain how the enrolment process will work in August so that you are clear on how best to secure your place. Enrolment – August 2018 Thursday 23 August – Partner School Enrolment Our applications policy prioritises applicants from Trust and partner schools. These include: The Morley Academy, The Farnley Academy, Bruntcliffe Academy, Cockburn School, Swallow Hill Community College. In order to operate the systems above, it is essential that you nominate somebody to attend enrolment on your behalf. This should be a parent/carer, responsible relative or family friend. Your nominee cannot be a friend who is also enrolling at EHC. One applicant cannot enrol additional applicants. Your nominee must bring the following: • A copy of your GCSE results (electronic or paper). Any photographs of results must have your name clearly displayed. • A letter or email from you giving them permission to enrol you at EHC. • Details of any course changes you are requesting to make, with clear details of why you want to make any changes (subject to availability). Please note, enrolment cannot be done over telephone or email. If you are not able to attend on the days above, you must enlist a nominee to do this on your behalf, following the procedures above. I am pleased that there are so many students across the Leeds city region eXpressing a keen interest to join Elliott Hudson College. However, as demand increases, so must our eXpectations regarding enrolment and therefore I hope you appreciate the clarity this letter brings to the process. Please ensure you are familiar with the above so that you are not disappointed in August. Please contact [email protected] if you have any queries regarding enrolment. I look forward to meeting you in the autumn term.
