No interview judging. (4-H families may also enter Open Class exhibits during their scheduled time.) WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 4 8:00-11:00AM Enter Open Class Exhibits THURSDAY, AUGUST 5 4:00PM All Beef, Sheep, Goats & Swine in pens 5:00PM Livestock Check-in in the following order: Sheep, Goat, Market Beef, Breeding Heifer, Market Swine. Hog wash racks to be shut off during this time. FRIDAY, AUGUST 6 9:00AM 4-H Swine Showmanship immediately followed by 4-H Swine Show 4:30PM Livestock Shows as follows: Pee Wee Sheep Showmanship 4-H Sheep Showmanship 4-H Sheep Show 4-H Meat Goat Showmanship 4-H Meat Goat Show 6:00-7:30PM Community BBQ 7:30PM Open Class Awards, Pioneer Farm Families, Family Entertainment—Peterson Farm Bros. 4 **Livestock Exhibitors—All Sale cards must be turned in no later than 30 minutes following the conclusion of the Market Beef Show in order to be included in the sale program. No Exceptions. Dog, Cat, Pocket Pets/Birds, Rabbits, Poultry. Animals released after the show. Carnival on the Midway Friday—Sunday Merchant Displays Open Friday— Sunday The Kearney County Ag Society is not responsible for loss, injury or accident. 5 GENERAL RULES All entries shall be made at designated entry booths in the building where the exhibit are to be displayed. Any active member of 4-H or stu- dent of Vocational Agriculture in Kearney County is eligible to compete for prizes in the projects in which they are enrolled, provided their work is up to date. The following rules apply to all departments of the Kearney County Fair, unless otherwise stated. State Fair rules will apply where no local rule is in force, or printed in exhibitor handbook. A. Eligibility Requirements for Exhibitors—A 4-H exhibitor must be a bona-fide 4-H member enrolled in the project they are exhibiting in Kearney County. A 4-H’er must be at least 8 years of age by January 1st of the current year. A 4-H’er must not have reached his/her 19th birthday by January 1st of the current year. A “Clover Kid” must be at least 5 years of age and not over 7 years of age by January 1st of the current year. There will be no discrimination because of race, color or national origin. B. Number of Entries—Only one entry per class per exhibitor may be made except in livestock or where otherwise specified. C. Interview Judging—Any static exhibit may be interview judged, meaning a 4-H’er discusses the exhibit with a judge before a ribbon is awarded. Interview judging will be done on entry day only. 4-H’ers will sign up for an interview time upon entering exhibits. All 4-H’ers are encouraged to interview judge with at least one exhibit. Each 4-H member is limited to 2 interviews per project area, i.e. foods, ag sci- ence/technology, home environment, etc. D. Exhibits Released—Items can be removed at the time listed in the official schedule. All Home Economics and Open Class items must be removed at that time. E. Protest Committee— 1.
