“I went to the Midwest Regional Conference not knowing what to expect, but it ended up being one of the most beneficial weekends of my life. Getting the opportunity to talk and compare to different chapters is so valuable to building your professionalism. Attending the Regional Conference is something every member of Pi Sigma Epsilons should experience!” - Nicole Simi, Illinois State University PSE PROGRAMS Regional Conference Marketing Challenges

At each Regional Conference, students are split into interchapter groups to compete in the Marketing Challenge. This year, we had multiple companies approach us about hosting the competition because of the opportunities it brings, and we wanted to include everyone. Depending on the regional a student attends, there will be a different challenge. Students will not only have fun, but will experientally learn team building skills, practice delegation and time management. Using marketing, advertising and public relation skills, groups will present to a panel of judges in hopes that their idea will sell the best.

We are excited to announce that after a successful 2013 Regional Conference Marketing Challenge, Southwestern Advantage is returning as the host for the West and South Regionals. One of our newest corporate partners, Brill Street, will be hosting the Midwest and North Central regions. CEO and PSE alum Kevin Carlson will be a special guest judge at those regional conferences. To find out more about Brill Street, turn to page 2. For the Atlantic and Northeast, a new spin on the competition will be taking place. We are going to do a Pi Sigma Epsilon version of the popular show Shark Tank. Hint: Watching an episode or two 2013 Atlantic Region Marketing Challenge Winners won’t hurt!

PSE’s mission is to develop the sales and marketing skills of its members through lifelong opportunities. While many of PSE’s members go on to have very successful sales and marketing careers, PSE maintains the belief that selling is a core skill required in any profession, as well as everyday life. The PSE Pro-Am Sell-A-Thon® is an annual competition sponsored by the PSE National Educational Foundation. The purpose of this sales competition is to provide PSE collegiate members with the oppor- tunity to experience the salesperson’s role in a simulated business-to-business (B2B) sales environment.

The Pro-Am is a year-long competition, but students are encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity to compete at any one of the PSE Regional Conferences and/or the PSE National Convention.

Along with Pro-Am sponsors, Vector Marketing, MultiView and Northwestern Mutual, PSE is pleased to announce our new partnership with Carew International, a leading international sales performance company. Consistently named among Selling Power magazine’s Top Sales Training Companies, Carew enjoys an outstanding reputation in the training industry and world- wide business community.
