Amanyea Stines Is a Recording Artist and Professional Dancer Born in Kingston, Jamaica from a Very Talented and Creative Family Amanyea Stines is a recording artist and professional dancer born in Kingston, Jamaica from a very talented and creative family. Her mother is Dr. L’Antionette Stines, former broadway performer and currently the Artistic Director of the world renowned dance company, L’ACADCO: A United Caribbean Dance Force. Amanyea's taste and joys in music are influenced by her older brother, Aaron Vereen, musician and master drummer. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations gained via the University of Miami, and has performed with Miami Heat Dance Team in 2012. Amanyea achieved various qualifications in the field of dance and has choreographed and danced for artists such as: Sean Paul, Shaggy, Jimmy Cliff, Cardi B, Damian Marley, Beenie Man, Machel Montana, Tessanne Chin, Anthony B, Jidenna, Tifa, Etana, TOK, Cecile, Kreesha Turner and more. As a talented dancer Amanyea has toured: the U.S.A, Europe, UK, and throughout the Caribbean. She is also featured in the movie “King of the Dancehall”, produced by Nick Cannon. In 2014 after graduating from university and having achieved so much as a dancer already, Amanyea decided it was time to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a recording artist. Her style of music is a blend between pop, reggae and dance-hall on sexy, funky and sassy rhythms to create an eccentric and spunky sound with an outlandish twist. "Aye Aye" is the first official single set for release September 7th, 2018 by Blue Pie Records based in Australia and her management team Talabi Entertainment. As a response to diversity, multiculturalism shifts the focus away from racial inequality to cultural difference. Consequently, Black self-determination is unauthorized. By investigating FLOW‟s radio license applications, programming and advertisements, this thesis reveals just how the vision of a Black focus radio station dissolved in order to fit the practical and ideological framework of multiculturalism so that Blackness could be easily commodified. This thesis concludes that FLOW is not a Black radio station but instead is a multicultural radio station – one that specifically markets a de-politicized Blackness.
