Project Description BHM were appointed for the construction Works on this Private Development for Peter DeSavary, works Included the Infrastructure Works and Road Construction to Enable the Development of this Subdivision and Golf Course. BHM Installed the Water Distribution and low Pressure Sewerage Collection Force main System together with the Chip and Sand Seal Paving. LTD Infrastructure and road works Client: Sun International/ Kerzner International Services Provided • Value engineering • Risk management • Construction management • Traffic management • Ashpalt and concrete Design Benefits to Customer • Single point of contact for client team • Works planned to minimize impact on road users and tourism • High standards of quality and safety management • In house plant and materials • Employment of skilled local workforce Background BHM’s initial contract with the Paradise Island Tourism and Development Agency was for a 2 year, $16million contract to rehabilitate the infrastructure and road network for the Atlantis resort on Paradise Island. In a busy, tourist environment it was essential that works were carried with minimal impact on the general public. Our successful delivery on this project led to BHM undertaking all major road works and infrastructure on Paradise Island, with contract values totalling $31million to date. Project Description Our scope of works included: • Traffic management design, notices and provisions of signage to ensure works carried out safely and with minimum disruption • New water services, sewerage and drainage • Electrical distribution • Street lighting • New roads and resurfacing • Thermoplastic road markings BHM branding - February www.bhm.construction 2014 Baha Mar Resort BHM CO. LTD Major Infrastructure works Client: China State Construction America (CCA) Services Provided • Risk management • Value engineering • Ashpalt and concrete Design • Consideration of local environment Benefits to Customer • Works carried out to avoid disruption to existing hotels and residents. • Integrated team working closely with the China State Construction America and the Baha Mar team. • Working in close collaboration with third party contractors on site. • Ability to react promptly to design changes. Background The Baha Mar Resort (also known as The Bahamian Riviera) is located on the world famous Cable Beach in Nassau. The resort will feature four elite hotels (SLS Lux, Rosewood, Grand Hyatt & the Bahamar Casino Hotel) and a state-of-the-art convention facility, including 2,000-seat performing Arts Centre and Art Gallery. Amenities will include the 18-hole, 72-par championship Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course. Project Description BHM as part of a joint venture were contracted by China State Construction America for the construction of the major infrastructure works on one of the largest resort developments in the Caribbean. Scope of works included: • Installation of utility services, potable water, storm water, drainage, sanitary sewer, reclaim water, gas, electrical distribution, external lighting. • New car parking areas for the resort, employees, and patrons; • New roadways into the resort. • Hard landscaping, decorative sidewalks, waterside place and Hotel Porte Cochère’s • Tennis Court construction • Injection and cooling well construction • The Design and Build of main entry lake and showcase fountain water feature and all associated MEP works including lake filtration and water flow and return systems • Three pedestrian bridges BHM branding - February www.bhm.construction 2014 Baillou Hill Road BHM CO. LTD Ground works, Infrastructure and Roadways Client: Ministry for Public Works and Transport Bahamas Services Provided • Risk management • Value engineering • Construction management • Phased traffic management Benefits to Customer • Value engineering input • Minimal disruption to road users, local business and general public • High quality of works achieved • Safe environment for road users and public maintained Background BHM were awarded this scheme following on from the successful completion of the Harrold Road project. BHM assisted the client in reaching their budget by offering a number of value engineering savings, including the use of swales in lieu of a gravity drainage system. The implementation of a phased traffic management solution within a highly trafficked, urban area was of significant importance to the delivery of the project. Project Description BHM were employed by the Ministry for Public Works and Transport to carry out the following scope of works: • Site clearance and bulk earthworks • Stabilisation of base material • New utility ducts • New road drainage system • Road lighting and electrical work • Kerbing & sidewalks • Realignment of roadway and roundabouts • Rehabilitation of Harrold Road Roundabout to allow for new filter lanes and increased traffic capacity • Hard and soft landscaping • White lining BHM branding - February www.bhm.construction 2014 Balmoral Residence BHM CO. LTD Subdivision including Ground works, Infrastructure and Roadways Client: Balmoral Development Ltd Services Provided • Risk management • Value engineering • Construction management • Coordination with other contractors on site • Engineering including drainage and asphalt design Benefits to Customer • Collaborative approach to negotiate additional works • Delivery on time and budget • Single point of contact for client team • Extensive value engineering input • Close working relationship with other contractors on site Background The Balmoral Development is a gated community comprising a total of 70 single family lots, located on the south side of Stanford Drive. As part of sub-division works, BHM were initially employed by Balmoral Development Ltd to carry out site clearance and bulk earthworks on the project. Having successfully delivered this element of the works, the client had the confidence to negotiate significant additional works including the installation of a gravity and forced sewer system, water main, road sub base and hot mix asphalt paving. The works took place on a congested site as the lots were built while BHM carried out the subdivision element. BHM liaised closely with other contractors to ensure the works progressed smoothly and safely. Project Description BHM were employed by Balmoral Developments to carry out the following scope of works: • Site clearance • Bulk earthworks • Storm and sewerage drainage • Associated manholes and laterals • Water main • Roadway sub base • Hot Mix Asphalt paving BHM branding - February www.bhm.construction 2014 BEC Skyline Substation & Generator Farm BHM CO. LTD New Substation & Generator Farm Client: Baha Mar Ltd Services Provided • Risk management • Value engineering • Construction management • Coordination with BEC Benefits to Customer • Liaison with BEC to ensure seamless installation and commissioning of transformers • Sequencing of works to reduce timescales • Single point of contact for client team • Engineering Quality Assurance of installations Background BHM completed the $4.5million construction of the new BEC Skyline Substation and Generator farm complex to facilitate HV Asset relocation required as part of the infrastructure works required for the Bahamar Development. BHM worked closely with BEC and the Client to coordinate the installation of infrastructure to supply the various transformers and control buildings. Project Description BHM were appointed by Baha Mar Ltd for the construction of this new substation complex. The project included: • Substructure to receive enclosures • Control buildings • Extensive insitu concrete duct trenches • Construction of 7 Modular substation enclosures • Construction of 4 generator enclosures • Ancillary services to the site including street lighting drainage and metalwork • Landscaping • Construction of new access road and laydown areas • Boundary wall and security fencing BHM branding - February www.bhm.construction 2014 Borco Terminal fire main upgrade BHM CO. LTD Replacement of a section of 10’’ steel above ground fire main with 16’’ HDPE below grade pipes Client: Buckeye Partners Services Provided • Demolition of 3,500 feet of existing steel pipeline • Installation of new 16’’ HDPE buried pipe line without disrupting the funcionality of the fire system and the entire facility • Installaltion of stub outs for 17 foam fire suppression hydrants Benefits to Customer • Replacement of above ground pipe line with more protected below ground pipes. • Bigger diameter of new pipes ensures higher capacity of the fire suppression system • Project was phased in order to maintain the operation
