Nationwide Vehicle Contracts Offers Two Tickets For Three-Day Event at Silverstone Submitted by: Nationwide Vehicle Contracts Wednesday, 16 May 2012 Silverstone, the Northamptonshire home of British motor-racing, will once again play host to the FIA Formula One British Grand Prix between 6-8 July. Thanks to a competition being run by UK-based vehicle leasing company Nationwide Vehicle Contracts (NVC), you could be part of the action. NVC is offering two general admission tickets to this year’s racing weekend, giving winners access to six famous trackside spots along the swift straights and challenging corners of the UK’s premier racing venue. For a chance of winning, all that racing fans need to do is visit the Nationwide Vehicle Contracts competitions page (http://www.nationwidevehiclecontracts.co.uk/competitions.htm) and answer a simple question about previous British Grand Prix winners. Furthermore, if you help get the word out about the competition, you’ll also be entered into a separate draw to win a Mio Moov 370 GPS Sat Nav. “We’re pleased to offer such a fantastic prize to our customers. The Formula One Santander British Grand Prix is one of the most exciting and important events on the British motoring calendar and as a motorsport fan myself, I understand how sought after these tickets are”, said Donna Kelly, marketing and website editor for Nationwide Vehicle Contracts. “The 2012 F1 season is only five races in, and we’ve already seen nine different drivers on the podium. With the championship wide open, it should make for an exciting race weekend for the lucky winner”. At this year’s Grand Prix, six previous race winners (five of them previous World Champions) will take to the grid, searching for critical mid-season results. Silverstone has hosted the British Grand Prix every year since 1987 and it has been a regular event in the season since before the formation of the World Championship in 1950. Modifications to the course in 1991 transformed the track from a dated, high-speed track into a challenging technical drive. Most recently, the track has been lengthened by 0.75 kilometres (to 5.9 kilometres, or 3.6 miles) with the addition of the exciting new ‘Arena’ section, providing more challenging straights and a better experience for spectators. This year, British spectators will have plenty of home-grown talent to cheer on: Lewis Hamilton will be hoping to push his McLaren to the top of the podium after a string of early season third places, and teammate Jenson Button will be looking for his first ever British Grand Prix win. Paul di Resta will be hoping to capitalise on a solid start for the improving Force India-Mercedes team, itself based at Silverstone. The circuit has a long history of British winners, with such illustrious names as Jim Clark, Jackie Stewart, James Hunt, Nigel Mansell and Damon Hill among them. Nationwide Vehicle Contracts is a car and van leasing company which serves the whole UK with a wide selection of vehicles. Its range is suitable for a wide variety of uses – from small business owners to families, corporations and private individuals. It is hoping for a massive response to its Silverstone competition, considering the quality and prestige of the event and how easy it is for Motorsport fans to enter.
